After years of experience with magic and musical devices, I cast a defensive spell to resist any magical effects from the box.
“I’ve been waiting for a moment like this for a long, long time.”
I remove the song cylinder cartridge lid, and remove the song cylinder itself, which I carefully place on a cloth on the floor. In its place, I installed a new cylinder, and close the cartridge lid.
Suddenly, the music box plays [https://m.soundcloud.com/user-969233971/offtopic-anthem-the-great-journey]this song[/url] as I carefully back away, the old cylinder sealed in a secure hazard container. The Offtopickles have discovered a new frontier.

In an attempt to focus the downpour of liquid into a single area, I use the force to pack the bricks on the walls closer together, opening a space in the ceiling above the black orb to channel the liquid toward it. I motion for the civilians to evacuate.

Edited by Cayde: 2/15/2019 8:16:03 PMTrying to prevent the deaths of what is perhaps an entire village of Offtopickles, I levitate the orb and revolve it around the room, causing it to absorb the black liquid. Before the liquid pouring from the ceiling becomes out of control, I raise the orb into the hole in the ceiling, holding it in place in an attempt to reverse flow from within the source of liquid.

After getting the civilians to safety, I take a moment to reflect. Then, I slip on a protective mask and gloves, preparing to swim through the mysterious black liquid as I hold my breath and get in a ready stance to bring the black orb just close enough to give me a guiding pull through the liquid. I take caution to not bring the orb too close.

As I am swept into the liquid, I hold the orb in place with as much strength possible, and raise it to move myself toward what is hopefully the surface of the black liquid. Although I can still feel which way is upward, the liquid is too dense to see anything...

Running out or breath, I use the remaining strength I have to force a hole into the orb. I then set the protective case I held onto to scan, sending the data of the music cylinder to the other Offtopickles.
