Hated Lootboxes ever since Halo 5. I'm glad the FTC is Investigating.

1 ReplyIt won't matter if the FTC gets involved. Developer and game publishers will get their money a different way. Lootboxes don't bother me anyways.
-
5 RepliesKinda hate this, I like loot boxes for shit like skins and emotes. And I really don’t wanna go back to the pay for each dlc standard we had before. I rather be locked out of skins Not content.
-
They’ll never take me alive!
-
1 Reply... This, is fake news!...
not included in the DLC
11 RepliesLoot👏boxes👏is👏not👏gambling

48 RepliesI see these posts condemning loot boxes and any developer who includes them in their games and all I gotta say is you know you guys don’t have to buy them right? They’re optional for a reason. If you have gambling problems you should seek help and if you’re a child you shouldn’t have the power to buy loot boxes anyways.

6 RepliesI still don't see the difference between lootboxes and trading card packs.
-
3 RepliesAnd so the journey comes to an end. If loot boxes are banned here, the world will flow.
-
Weak people are undone by loot boxes! Lol!
this world is gonna eat you up!
-
Guess this is an issue they had to get off their chest
-
2 RepliesYeah I'm starting to have some growing distain for lootboxes. Good thing I have a bunch of single player, non micro games to play right now.
-
43 RepliesI've never understood the whole loot box fiasco. If a game has them and you don't like it or support it don't buy the game. If parents are allowing kids to use their credit cards to purchase them, that's the parents fault. If they're talking about banning loot boxes because it's considered "gambling" then they need to discontinue trading cards as well. It's the same exact thing yet I haven't heard any outrage about those.

It's about darn time.

Nothing is going to happen. There are always loopholes and tricks to get around slow-moving regulations that take years to put into effect. Blizzard gets around Chinese gambling concerns by selling in-game currency with a side of loot boxes as a "free gift". It's not gambling because the boxes are "free".
