Please buff Redrix or I just wasted countless hours earning a garbage weapon.
First off, I am a solo player, so I enjoy having things in the game that I can chase after without having to have a fire team. That being said, I finally finished the quest for the Redrix Broadsword and boy do I feel robbed. I thought this was supposed to be a pinnacle weapon to chase but in the current state of PvP it's complete trash. Maybe you could increase the rof and make it full auto or something.

Most pulses, 390s in particular, need a reduction to base range. That would let the high-impact pulses shine more.

1 ReplyThey just need to nerf 2 other pulse rifles and it will be fine. The problem is go figure and Bygones. High impact frame pulses (320 rpm) are supposed to be to 2 burst and have the highest range and they do. But when you have a 450 rpm go figure pulse that can 2 burst also its not good. So you have a gun in the go figure that shoots faster and it 2 bursts that's terrible. And then you have a 390 pulse (Bygones) that has more range and it shoots faster than the 320 pulse. That's not good either. So in my opinion those 2 other archetypes need a nerf. 450 4 burst pulses shouldn't 2 burst or they need 2 reduce there fire rate. And the 390 need there range dialed back a lot. Because the 320 rpm are performing as intended in my opinion.

2 RepliesRedrix isnt garbage goddamn it. It kills in 0.67 seconds. same TTK as LUNA'S HOWL IF IT 3 TAPS AND IT KILLS IN .40 SECONDS WITH DESPERADO

1 ReplyDidn't you know you were grinding for a 340 RPM pulse rifle? The weapon was meant to reward skilled players who can manage high impact pulse rifles. But this is the most difficult pulse rifle archetype to manage and only fans of 340s are going to like Redrix.

Ext mag + backup mag = good primary pve weapon with 45 in the mag.

An increase in rof would make in op on the one hand but well Luna/NF exists so.. maybe make a new unique archetype. Somewhere between 340s and 390s. Around 365 or something. Also the handling needs to be doubled IMO. Its difficult and Bungie will not do anything. I think its just not fair that Luna/NF can wreck in every encounter while Redrix relies on its perk..

I just got it and it’s meh to me right now. I know the potential it has and I know I need to play with it more to get good with it. But yeah it doesn’t really compete too much with the other pulses

100 % Agree! This weapon is trash, needs a huge buff to the base rate of fire, and maybe add radar.

It is mediocre at best. Bygones out shoots me all day without desperado active.

1 ReplyI just got it and I agree 100 %. Bygons is much better. Total waste of time and tons of grinding and now it's in the vault. Very very very disappointed.

I just got Redrix too and I'm loving it in PvE. It's not that it's the best weapon but it's fun and for PvE the quest reward weapon has a roll which is effective. It isn't the best for PvP, I agree, but for PvP you can get a better rolled weapon from crucible engrams. It still isn't going to be the best weapon one on one but you should really of known that before starting the quest, you've used a 340 rpm pulse before right. Saying that, Redrix feels a lot better to use than the New Monarchy pulse.

Personally, I can't be in either camp. I wouldn't mind a buff, but don't care if it stays as is because I don't have it. Zero interest, but I'd be curious to see if they can truly make it better without making it overpowered. Like they usually do.

10 RepliesOr you could try to aim better. The pinacle weapons require precision. Redrix kills faster than other legendary pulse rifles if you hit your crits.

Just like the hand cannon procs with two headshots. if by chance you get a full burst to be all headshots, desperado kicks in. If Luna kicks in so easy, and that weapon is harder to get, Redrix should be an easier weapon to use. Luna is so cheesy with its perk it’s ridiculous. If you have to get kill for desperado to proc, same thing should be with Luna. Luna is super cheese right now because not only is the perk too easy to proc, but hand cannons are in top meta right now. So redrix is complete crap compared. If they want to make Redrix quest like other pinnacle weapons, it needs a buff to match the others

Well congrats on getting it, it’s actually a godly pve gun but requires the aim of a god in pvp, it can two tap to the head they tell me, but really with the right roll it truly shines when you find an opponent far away from you not paying attention and you get the first shot in, after that if you can proc outlaw and find some more opponents you’ll be laughing. The gun is painfully average in pvp but becomes a click-to-delete god weapon with desperado perked, and it absolutely annihilates in gambit, try it! In my opinion it doesn’t need a buff, it is just powerful enough that people never ever whine about getting killed by it unlike luna’s howl, even though getting luna’s howl can be more difficult to obtain depending upon the skill of the player. Enjoy your redrix, and desperado on!

The problem is the reload speed and the ROF. It's far too slow to compete with Luna and not forgotten

Edit: gun needs counterbalance mod too. I have max stability roll with chambered compensator, 2-tap isn't so hard with it

2 RepliesIt’s great in quickplay, but playing against anyone who’s decently competent is a challenge, you honestly handicap yourself with the base gun because it gets out gunned by literally any other ranged weapon, that being said I’ve gotten a few lights out and we ran out of medals with it, but that’s me sweating and try really dam hard to play the range game with this gun
