upon returning to the tangled shore after going to the watchtower and defeating the siren of riven, the spider/petra should give you a damaged awoken talisman as an exotic pursuit item. it requires you to defeat taken across the solar system, then complete the lost sectors located in the jetsam of saturn and the four horn gulch in the tangled shore as well as the lost sector located next to the spider in the thieves landing. after doing this you are told to complete the ether ritual public event in the four horn gulch and return to petra/spider, who gives you a charged awoken talisman. this item unlocks a mission in the tangled shore involving going to the dreaming city, a new location. upon completing this mission the destination and patrol area of the dreaming city is unlocked, and most of the endgame takes place there. the destination is on a 3 week rotation; the weakest curse, the moderate curse, and the full strength curse. each week has different secrets to uncover, and petra has weekly milestones as well as bounties for you to do. hope this helps. just check your inventory for the damaged awoken talisman, i’m sure it’s there. it will tell you what to do, but there is minimal guidance once you reach the dreaming city as it is supposed to be very secretive.
