That's a pr stunt for uneducated morons to follow
They have full control over it and the settings alloted for the animations in reference to the lag compensation can be altered and have been altered many times before
The holiday season after ttk the hit detection, physics collision, and lag comp were horrendous
Personally, I don’t believe damage referee is applied only to those with a bad connection because it could be so easily manipulated to “balance” matches, which in a developers view, is better for the longevity of their game. Since it’s to Bungie’s benefit to “fix” things, I wouldn’t be surprised if they were, to the extent they feel they can get away with.
Quite the opposite
It's applied to ppl with good connections in order to "even" the playing field in a match where p2p can host even the laggiest of players
In destiny, the lag comp is exaggerated to the advantage of laggy players. That's why u see weird animations, flash deaths, kill trading, deaths behind walls, late kills/deaths, teleporting, etc
If u have a good connection. U get punished for it unfortunately
Well it can still happen even if all players have good connection. It's because we all don't play in the same region. One can be from Texas and another playing in Japan. Lantacy is an issue even if we had dedicated servers. Now it does help if we have locks on regions but the issue is longer wait times for a matches.
