What happened to the Hawthorne engram giving specific loot?
Like getting raid gear from the raid engram and trials gear from the trials engram?

I say get rid of them altogether, and reward unique Clan rewards instead. Clan shaders (allow clans to have their own custom shader), emotes (like one where you spawn the clan Banner; similar to the Iron Lord Salute), ships, sparrows, armor sets and/or ornaments, ghost shells, transmat effects, etc., all with the Clan's Insignia on them. Also, a clan Emblem that gives you an aura, like the Faction Rally Renown aura, displaying the Clan's Insignia on your back. I'd rather have that than some useless Engram.

Not saying whether Trails/raid gear should’ve been rewarded but the fact that people refers to their clan mates as “leeches” speaks volumes for the uselessness of this game’s clan mechanics. It’s a complete joke and while some refer to it as a “glorified friends list”… that would be an overstatement and devs would be better served ditching it to focusing on an in-game LFG.

6 RepliesThat’s the way it should have been from the start. Do you think I complain that I don’t get Trials gear for free? Hell no. If I ever care to, I’ll actually work for it. It’s good that leeching doesn’t work now.

Its honestly better this way for the health of clans...trying to get people to step up in trials or fill for the raid was really annoying when all anyone wanted to do was wait for a free engram. I do think those engrams should have there own lootpool though....weapons you can only get from clan engrams.

I agree there should be clan specific gear that drops from these engrams, maybe a gear set with your clans banner on it. BUT, I’ll be dammed if you get the same gear as I do from a 3 hr raid full of blueberries who don’t know what counterclockwise is, just for being apart of a clan. Not everyone needs everything in the game, that’s the approach Bungie went with Warmind and will be the approach going forward. It will be this games salvation.

I think it's bad that they changed this since it was a feature that was specifically mentioned in advertising. I don't care however because I have all the Leviathan gear and none of it means anything to me. Gear in general is an afterthought. In D1, I wanted the Armamentarium and the boots that gave more Fusion Rifle ammo so my Sleeper could hold 12 rounds. D2 has nothing like that. It's Fashion Destiny now.

Everyone is acting like the gear is better, Raid Gun, Trials Gun, Blue Engram Guns are all the same.... Who Cares? Anyways from what I read it will change with the next DLC, you will then have to wear Trials Armor, wile holding full load out of Raid guns and have an Exotic Ghost equipped to collect rewards.

1 ReplyThey were designed for clanmates that didn't have the time/skill to do Trials/Leviathan to get those unique weapons (no armor) as a bonus for when their clan completed the activity together... ...but whiny people complained and got them nerfed. Now there isn't even a point in being in a clan except for the 3 milestone engrams a week (less if you don't multiclass) and the microscopic clan bonuses.
