2 token and a blue and some sweet sweet loot. WAIT i mean sweet sweet move ...

I don't enjoy them story missions made strikes because simulation reasons. Let alone I seem to always get stuck with players that blow by everything and leave me behind with everything in the forest.
-
5 digits, or 6?

Edited by Soul_Eater_42: 4/5/2018 4:58:11 PMIt's kinda ridiculous how lazily they made those Strikes. They're just the story missions with different dialogue. They could have made them more interesting, like one of them having the boss be one, or a few, of Osiris's copies that become corrupted, or go out of control.
-
I won’t. I think they’re way too long and annoying.
-
1 ReplyYou're garbage

The infinite jump and dodge is the worst part. So pointless. 3/5 of my “random” strikes will be one of these. Not to mention the amount of times I have gotten them multiple times in a row.

2 RepliesNo feedback or legit conversation...yep...a troll.

2 RepliesEdited by Lord Kielron: 4/4/2018 2:59:34 PMThe “Tree of Possibilities” is about as bad as Exodus Down. Meaning if Im running with randoms, it’s hit/miss if we don’t get wiped on the boss a bunch of times. I don’t mind the other one.... EXCEPT when the boss fight doesn’t glitch and respawn you with no way to return to the fight. Then it’s unbeatable.

This is old news, almost everyone who does strikes regularly doesn't like mercury strikes. I hate them but I also hate quitting out on teammates so I manage to grind through them.
-
Visuals on the one set in the past makes it a little more palatable.

3 RepliesALL strikes are garbage.
-
2 RepliesI like them, they are the fastest to complete .

The garden spire (think that is the one with the rotating cyclops final boss) is the worst strike in the game. Waaaaay too much trash, then you get to the boss which had a high chance to bug before the 3/27 patch. Think I cleared it twice. Honestly, I'd rather do promodrus down. Both of those strikes are insta-quits. The cabal mercury strike is the exact opposite. Kill 2 trash packs, run/sparrow all the way to the boss.
-
4 RepliesNot bad but lazy as hell since they're basically the story missions all over again
-
IDK if I’d say they’re garbage. Are they hard? No. Are they rather long and unrewarding when all is said and done? Yes, but the word unrewarding can be used for all of D2 content. These strikes are pretty. The scenery and design are awesome. Music is good. Overall the strikes in D2 are meh. Just like the game itself. Not garbage but meh.
-
They take about an hour to finish and require complete coordination from the entire team. They remind me a little of Vault of Glass. ~ lol I wish!
-
I don't think they're are bad...a little lazy, maybe, for copy-pasting story missions... They at least made an effort to tie them in to Vex simulation with some voice overs
-
I’m not a fan of the exodus down strike, but Mercury...average I’d say. I like being thrown right into the action, and certain scenery. Actually, all strikes (except exodus), I could play for hours.
-
I'll take any D2 strike over the Siva Archon's Priest with the Invincible Pet Ogre from D1. Back outta that shiz every time.

14 RepliesAs someone who doesn't really care for the design of strikes since D1 dropped I'm curious as to what makes Mercury ones particularly standout among them. I'm sure bungie would like to know as well.

1 ReplyEdited by NeddyMorai: 4/3/2018 4:00:25 PMI totally agree. I back(ed) out of both Mercury strikes immediately( I haven't played so much lately, popped back in recently to check out the update). That first section over and and over and over again. Like dental surgery. In fact I only enjoy one strike, the Titan one ,which by quirk of fate is the one I never get. I swear it didn't come up for a whole month wheras the first Mercury one or Exodus down would just alternate on repeat.( I just checked and I went 28 strikes without getting Savathuns song as a strike) Sad thing is Heroic strikes on D1 were something I did weekly, 3 YEARS into the game. In fact I still have a look and if the mods are fun I will spend an hour or two having a blast. TLDR I think you could have safely dropped the word Mercury from the title of your thread.

1 ReplyNone of the Strikes in D2 are redeemable. You aren't briefed on your mission when you land in, instead you're forced to piece it together based on dialogue which happens while you're busy shooting things to hear. The build-up to the boss is slow, repetitive, and boring. Kill ads, do a mechanic designed sorely to teach you how the boss works, waste your time, or justify the activity to be considered difficult. All of the bosses are the same enemies you've been fighting, just bigger. They have mechanic lazily thrown into the fight to make it seems like a challenge. But I could forgive all of it if all the bosses didn't have moments of invincibility. That's the worst part. They try to stop us from dropping the boss in five seconds by making them enter a period of invincibility, which we can't even do since they took away all of our guns and abilities that could do that.
-
I agree with you. They feel closed in and boring. The bosses in the strikes are even disappointing compared to others.
-
No I will not change your mind. that requires re-running the strikes to try to find good points. Not fooling me!
-
If it wasn't for the forest, they would be the shortest Strikes Bungie ever did.
