Burned out and bored Guardians, return to Destiny 1!
And please don't move this to Feedback because this isn't freaking feedback or a salty shitpost.
I stopped playing D2 almost a month ago now and have only logged in to check the reset emotes. Don't miss a thing about it. Been playing D1 and have been having a blast.
If there are any guardians out there who still love the Destiny universe and the feel of the gameplay, or if you just plain old miss D1, do yourself a favor and return back!
I'm not gonna lie and say the player base is "popping" like it was in Year 1, but I will say that matchmaking times are decent and better than tolerable (sometimes even great) and that if you loved D1, then you will have a blast returning to it and rediscovering all the fun shit.
Just give it a go and maybe we can make D1 "popping" again :)

Yup! I played for hours last weekend and barely scratched the surface on weekly accomplishments. (I noticed that when I move around while crouched, that’s about how fast my d2 guardian moved while standing up lol). Friday evening I popped in d1, played for a while. Then I thought, “well I can at least do the clan xp on d2 to help out my clan.” Played d2 for a while and then went to bed. I woke up Saturday morning and immediately put d1 back into my ps4. Played it for the rest of the long weekend. D2 isn’t going back into my ps4 for the foreseeable future. There is so much to do in d1. To think about it now, it’s absurd that Bungie scrapped all of that content for what we have in d2. Literally, the only thing better about d2 is ledge grab, viewable planet maps, and the coinciding PE tracking.

1 ReplyMy clan and I are returning to D1 next week to run the old raids, try to land the Black Spindle and see if the Gally finally drops. Looking forward to reliving some of that old magic.

2 RepliesDone the same myself. Reset my Warlock and it was great fun levelling up. The D1 weapon system is a standout compared to the rubbish system we have in D2 There are lots playing. I got an invite to do VOG at 390 and I got fatebringer and the shotttie. So much more satisfying.

I have to admit, I started a new Exo Warlock on D1 and had a great time playing through the first few missions. Admittedly i'm really missing the mantle ability from D2 but that's all really, faster ability recharge and better looking gear, it's just more fun i think.

sorry Man but I and i would assume (not know) a lot of ppl moved from D1 to D2 and now it has not come up to expectations we have moved onto new games...I understand D1 is great (over 3000hrs :) ) but I do like a grind and something to try and get (I know its not a real thing) but playing the same content after 3 years to get nothing I haven't already earned...mehhhhh.

2 RepliesYou'll be dismayed to learn they removed all D1 functionality in the app, no more swapping guns easily (because fk you I guess? Idk it's Bunghole so no surprise). Go download Ishtar Commander if you need to move guns and gear around without frequent trips to the tower.

Edited by Demon_XXVII: 2/22/2018 7:59:21 AMHaving played Destiny on 360 from Beta/Y1/Exp1&2/TTK (but being 'in country' and never having time to play Hunter/Warlock builds - Dusty places, no place for online gaming) I jumped across to PS4 when the Pro was released (Nov2016), I've got more time, bought 'Destiny The Collection' (for RoI) and played through a Titan (as much as possible) .....in the last few weeks I've decided to start a Hunter (D2 hasn't much to keep me in game) .....and an currently playing through (slow progress) ....only using what drops (no vault weapons) & enjoying the new class (BladeDancer much better than ArcStrider) and whilst it feels bare, there is never an empty tower, both with 40/400's in full Raid Gear, & lots of D1 noobs (Grimoire in low 100's) ......Its weird fighting Taken Champions (with my Guardian or Ghost technically not knowing wtf they are) as a Level 10/12, but heck - It's challenging!

I'm playing db fighterz, DCUO, warframe and soon in April god of war . That one I'm excited for the most, GoW is one of my favorite games. It's one of those when even if you don't know what the fk you want to play anymore, you pop GoW in just start messing stuff up lol. Idk, maybe it's just me
