All the D1 Complainers DID THIS
You’re responsible for this pathetic excuse of a sequel we got. All the constant moaning and incessantly bitching about this or that. Nerf this. Buff that. Balance this. Remove that. Thanks a lot. Hope you’re all happy. Should be real proud of yourselves. This game is ass. Just garbage. Thanks to you. You cried for change so they did. Did they absolutely butcher their attempt? Clearly. But the complainers aren’t without blame in this travesty.
D1 dumps on it in every way, top to bottom. Just a vastly superior game. I really cannot for the life of me believe this is the actual sequel to the game I loved so much and had so many great memories with. All that time spent. Out the window. And for what? This? I played this game for a month and lied to myself for two weeks of it, that this was a good game and I was having fun. Because it’s not. And I wasn’t.
If Bungie tries to defend their choice to take this game in the abysmal direction they did, instead of apologizing, acknowledging their failure, and taking ownership to try and right the ship, then they can officially kiss their fans goodbye. Literally. Just hang it up. Move onto the next one. Game will then truly be dead for real.

I just realized I’m on the internet talking to people who even with hard evidence or facts in front of their faces would not change their mind. This game franchise is doomed at this point if the community blames shifts towards themselves instead of the developer and is doomed if the community stopes calling bungie out on bullshit. Peace out.

2 RepliesDidn't bother reading. D1 was new, we ALL waited, bitched for changes. After 3 years , they slightly touched on fixing anything, instead they used the nerf button to make it worse. Now, if your fine with going through 3 more years of shiat, just to, at the end, finally have a somewhat good game( before it ends and then start again)? Good luck guardian. Most of us are going to step away for that ride; AGAIN. Like the other reply, I'd like to see any post before D2 that was asking for ANYTHING! 1 fuuking thing; that they did here

5 RepliesYour wrong. Alot of players (like me) play this game for pve. Not for pvp. Only the pvp call of duty fanboys were askimg for nerfs and not us. Us pve players got fcked in the ass everytime bungie added a weapon “balance” patch. Imagine if there wasnt pvp at all. Imagine how good this game could be. The develepors could go all in with crazy weapons and stuff. Borderlands anyone?

Sure, people called for nerfs just like any other game. But let's not pretend that after rebooting the entire game that this was the best solution. This is Bungie attempting to "get back to basics." It's Halo all over again - long TTK, dual primaries, limited access to power weapons, limited access to abilities and grenades, etc. It's also their adherence to a strict policy on maintaining a unified sandbox which doesn't work for these types of games and their desire to use any weapon in any activity. Sure, this philosophy works for games CoD, Halo, and Battlefront, but not games that have post campaign activities and the player is expected to grow in power. You can't offer Power in PvE while maintaining balance in PvP. You just can't. The needs of one ruins the other. If they'd understand this basic principle, things could get on track.

Yes, it's not Bungie's fault they made a bad game. It's the fault of the people that gave feedback for D1 and made it way better in Y3 than it ever was.

Bungie has basically came out and said that D2 was designed to appeal to the casual player. I don't like them but the crucible cry babies aren't responsible for this mess, it's all on Bungie and them wanting to maximise their profits. Personally whenever Bungie says "we've listened to our fans" I don't believe them. It's more likely: A: Their plans just so happens to cross paths with what the community is shouting for so they put a spin on it for PR purposes. Or B: They've been caught with their hand in the cookie jar a spin us a excuse.

1 ReplyAbsolutely 100% wrong. D1's final mode was GREAT and most people LOVED it aside from some balancing issues in PvP and content but that is a natural progression. THAT was based on feedback and changes that had been implemented over 3 YEARS. You're wrong. It was our feedback. No one wanted fixed rolls. No one wanted slower supers. When word came around that changes like those were coming, people said "oh you don't even know what it's gonna be like", then the beta came and they said "just give it some time you don't even know how it's gonna all work the game isn't out yet shut up" and then it launched and it was like "just get used to it". Now..... Well. Now it's just depressing. But D1 has nothing to do with it unfortunately. Maybe if it did we'd have a better product. But yeah, D1 Guardians shouldn't take ANY blame, no matter how much crying they did or silence they kept. It's not our fault.

As they started working on D2 before we started complaining on D1,I hardly see how it impacted them, especially since they really don’t look like anything we say have an impact on their horrible developments...

I disagree. The complainers changed d1, in my opinion, from a great, super fun game (still had its issues, of course!), to a good game that was less fun, and then finally into a more well rounded game that was still fun in the end. Bungie were the ones who fcked it up. They are the ones who decided to drop everything that d1 had become in the end and start completely over. They were the ones who decided to remove random weapon rolls instead of improving poor perk combos or making the loot easier to obtain. They were the ones who decided to remove the secondary slot instead of just balancing secondary weapons in pvp separately from pve. They were the ones who decided to add ALL of the odds and ends in this game to eververse instead of being able to earn things like ships from crucible, strikes, and the raid. They were the ones who decided to make the endgame have no replay value, let alone any first play value. They were the ones who decided to make this game entirely revolve around public events, instead of just maintaining everything that strikes, the raids, and crucible were in d1 and simply just improving patrols on top of that.They were the ones who decided to remove strike specific loot, instead of adding more unique things for us to earn through strikes or lost sectors. They were the ones who decided to remove vendors from actually selling useful gear, instead of just keeping it the way it was, since there was absolutely nothing wrong with that. This list is just getting started. The only people to blame for this game are bungie, who ruined everything that both the community and themselves had worked towards in the end of D1.

By doing so, removed the fun factor. "Everyone's a winner in d2". D1 pvp for us, was a happy accident for us that bungie didnt intend. They spent 3yrs tryiny to slow it down with nerfs. The blame for the state of D2 is on bungie.
