I missed it when you ranked up with rep and vendors actually sold things :(

Anybody see a response from bungie on this post yet? If not WTAF are they doing 2500+ upvotes on a post basically should get answers They just don’t want to admit they made D2 worse because they were FING lazy

8 RepliesI don’t mind tokens. Nothing’s really changed, it’s just perception

Tokens are essentially pretty much the equivalent of D1’s reputation levelling system. In this case, your reputation isn’t automatically levelled up; you need to cash in the tokens. So mechanically, D1’s vendor reputation system and D2’s token system are one and the same, with both systems offering the same if not sometimes more actual rewards upon cashing in tokens - the difference between both systems being merely one of perception. Furthermore, the token system gives you more flexibility compared to the old system when using 2 or more characters Now, I’m not saying Bungie won’t perhaps make changes - I’d increase the number of token drops in certain activities - and Bungie might even make more drastic changes purely to appease certain players, but ultimately the token system, as I said, isn’t really much different to the old reputation system and, in some ways, is better The biggest problem isn’t the actual token system, but the quality of the rewards

Bump a million times

1 ReplyIt doesn't really bother me at all. I played destiny for the PvP and playing with friends. I never played it for loot.
-
1 ReplyAt 3k, they usually respond. It’ll be interesting to see what happens with this one.

2 RepliesEdited by KLGChaos: 11/29/2017 7:54:08 AMI wouldn't mind token, as it's basically the same thing as repping up with just an extra step. The problem is the repeat items that end up being shard fodder.
-
1 ReplyTokens are fun. It just shouldn’t be the primary way of getting loot
-
1 ReplyI don't even use them lol
-
We can finally hold more than 200 shards. Nothing to buy with them 😂

12 RepliesEdited by Abrrinacave: 11/27/2017 5:37:26 PMI hate the 'token in a slot machine' analogy. That's the EXACT SAME WAY reputation worked in the last game. The problem isn't the tokens. The problem is the gear is all bland and there's nothing to grind for. As for vendors selling their gear, that would only work if there was random rolls, OR it was a limited time event (like how iron banner in season 2 will let you buy gear directly with tokens)

I missed it when you ranked up with rep and vendors actually sold things :(
Token are aids. How about we all trade in our tokens for some dedicated servers?
-
I hate these stupid tokens -_-
-
Big upvotes hopefully they get fixed or removed

Things really are burning down this time. Not even seen 1 person try and defend Bungie yet. They must have pissed off even the most dedicated off fans.

... Luke Smith probably had a debt clock on his office but instead of debt it's the up votes on this post and he's just laughing.

1 ReplyTokens are like Chuck E Cheese tickets. Except your shitty prize is random.
-
I thought this read at "Upvote if you have tokens" so i did cuz i do

Upvote if you hate tokens
Meh... I could personally take or leave the tokens. It's just a delivery mechanism. Some of the tokens are definitely ridiculous (raid tokens!?!?), but overall, not a big deal to me. However, I do think the loot table/system is an issue. The loot table is too small. Lacks interesting items. Lacks variety. And, then there are the constant: Duplicates. Duplicates. Duplicates.
Please stop giving me Bad News and Disrespectful Stare over and over and over...

I missed it when you ranked up with rep and vendors actually sold things :(
Big upvote. As someone else said recently: We don't have vendors. We have a bunch of cryptarchs. Regardless if we keep tokens, we need to be able to buy specific items that are on a rotation.

Legit
-
Watch them get rid of the token system and implement something new.
-
Ooh me knackers
-
I agree. Let me spend these legendary shards, yo.
-
I hate the Federal Reserve system that devalues our currency and pumps out tokens faster than the amount of legendary shards you have and the whole community...
-
The issue isn't the currency but the economy! Get rid of tokens and you still got a shit loot economy. Fix the loot economy and keep the tokens and we're golden.
