Homosexuality is almost universally accepted in the West now. Continued pride events are just hammering home a point that has already been made. Most people don't give a flying -blam!- what you do with consenting partners, so why keep celebrating it?

Well in the us, we only recently got the right to marry, and we can still be fired from jobs on the basis of sexual orientation alone.
