The super is not entirely what most people are complaining about in terms of Arcstrider being poorly executed anyway. It's more to do with the normal dodge which has an insanely long cooldown with not much benefits to make it too useful in most scenarios. Not to mention stuff like in D1 Bladedancer's had blink, but instead Voidewalkers the only one to have blink instead now? Hunters are meant to be the "agile glass cannon" of the three types. Right now it doesn't seem to be "here nor there". I don't even particularly mind the damage of the super whether it's underwhelming in comparison to others. Just need a bit more justification in the Hunter arsenal. No blink, no cloak. They removed the team support style of nightstalker. So atm it doesn't seem like Hunter brings much to the table which pains me to say as an avid D1 Hunter main. Hard to defend it's setup atm imo.

1 ReplyThe problem I have with the hunter class in general is the dodge and its cool down. Why make it an actual ability with minor side effects when the warlock gets a mid-air variant with a much shorter cooldown? Not really sure which class is mean't to be the agile one at this point.

Here's a video of Mr.Fruit playing as a Hunter for the Beta. From 1:46 to 2:30, we see the him taking full advantage of the Hunter's dodge. So if used right it can be pretty effective. That said it wouldn't hurt to shorten the dodge cooldown. While it can be used more often than the other class abilities, the fact that the Hunter's dodge has a 25 second cooldown vs the Warlocks' Icarus Dash perk having a 10 second cooldown can raise a few eyebrows.

1 ReplyEdited by Bluntchief: 7/20/2017 2:18:11 PMArc strider is garbage. Don't spam R1? The dodge is slow as hell and if you're playing a good team you won't even get close enough to them before you die. Also it's really easy to run away from. Talking about the super

my first imression was just that hunter is less attractive abilitywise than the other classes. loving titan, sentinel for pve and striker for pvp. striker pvp is soo soo good. 2 lightning nades to block off paths, wall to block paths and a super that counters most supers since nearly all are roaming in d2

8 RepliesThe main Issue I have with the Arc Strider is that its boring and is the least interesting of the re-worked subclasses. Its hardly any different in concept from the Blade dancer and definitely doesnt play/feel significantly different either... hunter dodge is garbage compared to the other classes as a side note. Titan gets a shield and warlock a regen and then the poor hunter gets a 2 inch side step that barely mitigates damage and only benefits the hunter...
