Religion is a subject that so many here discuss. The problem is and i said this before is that you grew up with values. Even if you do not practice religion you were taught right from wrong and how to use it in a modern society.
Morality is a religious concept but at the same time you as a human cannot deny you strive to become better through conflict. Wars have been fought on religion to the question of basic human rights.
To become an atheist is to become the void or nothingness. So you flop down on the grass and do nothing? Is that human nature to wait to die? or is it that we strive to become the best we can or fight on against the odds.
How many books Tv shows games ect all depict this in a very human way? Questions such as who am I? What am i looking to achieve? How do i deal with the consequences of my actions?
Atheist are none of these things. They run from conflict, they take no sides and they certainly do not be of use to any one. Am i dehumanizing them? Not in the slightest as they have imposed such restrictions onto themselves.
But they realize they too are Hypocrites like the rest of humanity so they attack slander and try to refocus the blame on others. In essence it is a sad one trick phony. So as much as people try to identify with the word Atheist.
You are still human, you still have faith in something besides a god. So welcome to the human race snowflake.

Do you think a three year old actually understands the -blam!-ing sermon?
Morality is a religious concept but at the same time you as a human cannot deny you strive to become better through conflict. Wars have been fought on religion to the question of basic human rights.
Bullshit it's a religious concept. "English is a scientific subject because words are sound and sometimes you read numbers!"
To become an atheist is to become the void or nothingness.
Yes, the moment you drop religion, you transcend this realm and become The Void.
So you flop down on the grass and do nothing?
What a logical conclusion to jump to.
How many books Tv shows games ect all depict this in a very human way?
This literally has nothing to do with religion.
Questions such as who am I? These are all explorations into that whole "human condition" shit; any Bible or religious text is no different than To Kill a Mockingbird.
Atheist are none of these things.
You are still human, you still have faith in something besides a god. If you truly had trust in your god, you wouldn't need to seek affirmation by attacking people that lack faith.

Edited by Commander Tempu: 4/16/2017 10:57:49 AM
Ajax @The Guy You are reading it and taking it to extremes. Op is just saying that each religion teaches a core morality which is beneficial to all members of that faith in their daily interactions. The lack of faith guarantees no such moral code. He never said that unless you are a theist, you are gonna have totally -blam!-ed morality cuz you'll never learn it because youre nothing. That bit is what you made up when you took it to the extreme.
If you are unable to comprehend then like Woody Allen jokes you cannot get them until you get older or grow up a bit. Too many people responding to what they think is an attack. They are not actually reading and thinking about it then replying.

1 ReplyMy response is taken from my recent post. Let's get to it. I , an atheist, am here to save the day with some -blam!-ing logic! It has come to my attention that people have been bashing on religion or those who fail to practice such religion more than ever lately. Let's get this straight. Not going to name names, but here's something for all of you, taken from my response to another thread.
making fun of God, religion, Basically, you get famous for being scum.
You're all being hypocritical. By saying these things, you're just equally hating on those, including myself, who practice our beliefs, or more so, lack of belief. I do not believe in a god and I do not believe in religion's claims. I do in fact respect people's right and choice to believe these things, but I will not respect the things themself. On the other hand, I can tell you what I DO believe. You do not have to believe it too, but all I ask is for you to respect my choice and decision. You do not have to do that either. I believe we are all in fact atheists of some degree. When you can stop and tell my why you do not believe in any one else's god, you will know why I do not believe in yours.

5 RepliesIts perfectly possible to be an Atheist, but agree with some facets of Religion. Its also possible to respect peoples beliefs.

1 ReplyWhat is the point of this post? So now Atheists don't exist because they don't believe in some mythical deity? What? Atheists are just people who lack belief in a deity. Nothing more to it.

4 RepliesThis takes the cake for the dumbest post I've ever seen and possibly anything from a human brain. Oh wait no, there's still people that say our extreme rise in CO2 levels is a good thing because "CO2 is plant food" and people who don't even believe in climate change. But you're a close second, don't worry buddy

Edited by Spicy Water: 4/15/2017 2:32:41 PMAs much as I would love to argue against your point, I physically can't. Not because you make a good point, but because I physically can't read it because the grammar is so terrible

5 RepliesI feel like it is my Christian duty to say something about this...
I have zero fuxing clue what OP is talking about. Please do not take this strange, tangential rambling as a reflection on any religious person or group.
Title alone makes no sense.

2 RepliesSo technically I am the black nothing of Space that holds every single thing in this universe, just because I don't believe in a deity?

18 RepliesYou do not need religion to have morality. To lack religion is not to be empty.
-
Im an atheist and i am more or less a moral person, you argument is invalid
-
Im not religious and i have good morals why because my parents weren't shit.
-
1 ReplyYour first mistake is assuming that morality comes out of religion, when logic would say it was the other way round.
-
1 ReplyAtheists think they exist because they, big surprise, actually do!

2 RepliesIf I wanted to know what athiesm is, I'd ask an atheist. Not someone who stereotypes them and present it as fact. I may not be an Atheist but it annoys me when people stereotype them just as much as Non Christians stereotype Christians.

2 RepliesYou've made lots of assetions here with no explanation for any of them. Let's start with the main one - why do atheists think they are here. You asked this question as a title, and failed to explore the ideas it brings forward in the body of your post. The other main one is - why do you think atheists are without morals?
