it's against their terms to use third party shit that modifies their code IIRC. There was actually a big argument on the Titanfall forums long ago with people calling it "cheating" and them trying to bring up ToS sections all thinking the XIM fell under it when it didn't. It doesn't add software to the console/controller and it doesn't modify anything (hardware or software) on the console or controller. Unfortunately this was years ago and my work blocks the site so I can't even look for it. Is it unfair? Sure I guess Cheating? I guess it depends on who you ask However they found that the XIM alters nothing so don't care about it. That said, they DID also state that they don't recommend using anything but MS products for best functionality as they can't support the adapter but they have no issue with it's use. However, they also said just because THEY are ok with it doesn't mean the dev will be ok with it so you could have action taken against you by the Dev of the game depending on how they feel about it.
