Mine would have to be the 90s. I was born in '88. However I like classic rock as well as current alternative rock

Current one. Sure, people coming of age missed out on The Strokes, Dandy Warhols, RHCP and many other fantastic bands' primes, but we've still got plenty of fantastic live acts going around. King Gizz, Midnight Juggernauts, Tame Impala, Alpine and Jamie T just to name a few.

Current year is ALWAYS the best. No album disks No records No paying $30 for one song YouTube and Every song is free. In the 80's, current songs didn't exist. Now, songs from the 80's do. Current year is best by default

Every decade has its good and bad ones. I personally don't really find a certain decade better than the other since I like pretty much every genre. (Some more than others)

80s no contest. I been through 70s to today so i lived it so far.

3 RepliesI won't claim any decade as the 'best' as that's entirely subjective, though I will say my personal favourite music is produced in the 2000's, closely followed by the current decade. With that being said, it's easy to enjoy music from any decade if you possess any form of open mindfulness.

Impossible to pick. I constantly dig for "new to me music" and find myself finding all sorts of bands and music from so many different eras that I absolutely love. Music evolves slowly over time and to try to chop those evolutions up into round number years just doesn't work.

It really doesn't matter what your tastes are, the current year that you are living in will be greater for music than any year that preceded it.

2 RepliesEdited by t0x1cb14ckm01d: 2/16/2017 9:09:02 PMThe mid 1990s were probably as good as the 70s in terms of overall music quality in multiple genres. The mid 90s was the last era before pop music and boy bands killed the industry. Big names I remember as a kid: Oasis, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, The Stone Roses, Sublime, Beck, Radiohead, Live, Sponge, Cake, the Cranberries, and Collective Soul. Some of the best music of the 90s came out between 1993 and 1996.

The 2000s is an underrated goldmine for great music.

1547. Best time for music
-
Probably seventies but I'd accept sixties.
-
I'm going to say 1965-1975 is the best decade for music.

80's????? lolNo

80's baby!
-
Depends on what kind of music. Seems like every genre has a classic era

The Baroque Period.

I don't think there is a best, as all decades have good and bad music. However, I would vote current decade as there is more variety in instruments and fusion genres. Basically, there is more to listen to.

1 Reply80s only because AC/DC
-
2 RepliesWhy no, 20's 30's 40's or 50's.
-
The current decade for me. A lot of great artists have come up.
-
Comes expecting to see 70s at least second. Faith in humanity is lost :(
-
3 RepliesThere's no true answer as it's all opinion based on mind set. Music is subjective like that.

This one.

4 RepliesEdited by WarEagle7: 2/18/2017 6:11:47 PM2000s. It's tough, though. I had to go with 2000s 'cause U2 had some good stuff and twenty one pilots released their first album.
