Like the title says, destiny 2 needs bigger crucible maps. The current maps are dreadfully small and lead to so much meleeing and shotgunning. If the maps were bigger, we would need more players per game though so that supers would be effective, and snipers could be stopped. Primaries would need more range (especially autos). And, the game wouldn't be so close up.

I'd honestly prefer more asymmetrical and environmentally adapting map. Think escalation and razor hail from the gears of war series. Maps that grant one team a starting placement advantage while the other team is granted a specialized weapon or vehicle advantage. Maps that change or alternate as the match goes on to force a change in team tactics, like flooding or burning out sections/layers of a map, having large ships crash down onto the map, or having weather patterns shift between things like low visibility fog and rain, tornadoes that tear their way through different sections of the map, or something like acidic rain or high intensity lightning storms temporarily forcing players to take cover indoors or underground until the hazardous conditions clear off. Everyone was so proud to drop old consoles and say that they held back the game's potential, so why push for the same big team maps we've all seen before when we could have over the top map concepts and designs that test the full extent of these new consoles and the creativity of developers?

The maps do NOT need to be bigger. The sight lines need to be longer.

I dont have to many issues with most of the maps but do think some should be taken out if certain playlist. The few large maps we have have no business being in playlist like 2v2 salvage and 3v3/ToO. Yea alot of maps do cater to shot guns but making them bigger will only cater to snipers and thus nothing has changed.

I'd like to see larger pvp maps as well, but more vertical layers/levels instead of just more open areas. I believe that would give the maps greater combat depth and encourage any and all strategies that players bring to the game.

Problem with this is it'll create a super meta for snipers. Think about the logic, LONG range maps lead to the obvious, long range weapons i.e. snipers. I understand your point fully and I get it, but in the end it'd be a nightmare people who aren't sniping.

Not going to happen. People whined so much about large maps they created combined arms and put them in their own playlist we never see. They will have learned not to put large maps in destiny 2...I loved combined arms maps but like everything else in this game pussies ruined it.
