IB rank 5 NO POINT
It is a bummer that the grind to rank 5 is without any glory now. Once the bounties are compete there really isn't any point to it unless your searching for that god roll on a weak side arm or on a rocket launcher that is at the bottom of the must have RL list. I miss the rank 5 package after a couple of day grind, or couple of hours grind for some. Anyone else think they should bring that back?
Edit: this isn't a complaint post I like the new system and I'm a bata player but it would be nice to have an actual point to the rank system again. Maybe make only certain perks or rolls for the guns drop at the different ranks something like that or just do away with the rank all together.

Second and 3rd characters hit rank 5 before you finish the bounties. Drops: Now: You get 4 drops from bounties + end game drops. Before: You used to get a blue artifact lower than your light level at rank 3 and [b]1[/b] drop for rank 5 + end game drops. The current IB loot system is [b]a lot[/b] more rewarding. I can remember playing IB and getting 0 end game drops. You might've seen an end game drop for 1 person every 10-15 matches... that's 1 person from both teams combined.

2 RepliesThe people who argue that the IB rewards system should go back to the way it was are completely oblivious to how much this new system benefits the player. It's more rewarding in every aspect, especially with regards to time. But, oh, sorry - you don't get to open a present at rank 5... Just continue to ignore the four weekly bounties that replaced this one...

1 ReplyFirst of all it was more a grind than "glory" I have nothing against a grind though. Now you get sooo much more loot in sooooo much less time. Which is actually likely most of what went wrong with the game. Everyone had a fit bungie made it rain and the game died. Imagine that.

8 RepliesBounties? Now you get twice as much stuff. Rank 5 was only worth it because you got something [i]at[/i] rank 5, just change your expectations to match the new system. If you only play to get the packages, now you can stop even earlier. Win!

Yea but I don't think they should be brought back. It's a lot easier and rewarding to do 4x bounties on 3 chars and ignore rank.

I get to rank 3 for the 99-100% gear then do whatever I normally do... Not pvp.
