Rise of Ir...Shotguns
Good god. These things were annoying before but Jesus. That's practically all I see in the crucible now. Special weapons now consist of 90% shotguns and 10% fusion rifle. Was the point of this update to obliterate everything other than a shotgun? This isn't fun or entertaining to play when I get slapped around by a glitching douche with a shotgun from 50ft away. Come on guys, this is just atrocious.

2 RepliesNerf shotguns into oblivion or make the highest impact shotguns have the lowest range possible. I can't figure out why low impact shotguns have low range it doesn't make sense.

1 ReplyI would think by now that everyone would know the best way to mess up a shotgunner is a good fusion (from experience anyway) I use Saladins vigil and it's amazing for taking down shotgunners.

1 Reply50 ft away? Haha. Also, it's IB supremacy. Of course shotguns are going to be the best option. Besides that, pvp is much more enjoyable than it was before the update. Sniper meta was slow paced gameplay with so much passive gameplay.

I'm not whining about not being able to "adapt" to the meta, it's just getting "sniped" with the Matador every time is a pain. I barely get killed by a primary anymore. Please Bungie just buff Snipers or nerf Shotguns. P.S. I was frequently using a Shotgun before they got a buff so I know what it was like before hand.

Wow just wow, Shottys gettin nerfed into the ground for over 2 years and snipers take one small nerf and they start crying, whats that saying every sniper use to have "if you can't adapt you suck, git gud" I guess they Couldn't and now they cry to bungie about shotguns.

12 RepliesShotguns have spent the last 2 years getting nerfed into the ground and every time snipers, smug douchebags that they are, said "If you can't adapt then you just suck. Git gud." Well, we adapted. Then sniper rifles get one small nerf and sniper tears have flooded the forums ever since. And, by the way, shotguns are useless beyond about 15 feet. You might havemore credibility if you didn't tell blatant lies.

It's not really a nerf, but a change on how the range stat works. If you think about how there are different kinds of shotgun shells out there today, talking about the common ones like buckshot and slugs, Bungie could set up the shotgun range like that. The higher the range, the weapon behaves like it has slugs. The lower the range, the more the weapon behaves like bird shot. I thought this was a pretty sweet idea and let him know that I'd share this when I could. Just my $.02.

1 ReplyShotguns are in a way too overpowered state right now. They were buffed beyond the limit. I got shot by a quantiplasm from around 7 meters away. In 1 hit!

Why not complain that primaries are too week? Everyone always calls for the nerf. It's the game type. Get up close get the kill and take the crest. Stop calling for nerfs

5 RepliesAs someone who used to main sniper and still snipes, I'm not gonna lie why would I snipe if I can be handed double kills on a silver platter with a metador 64 and a 9 meter melee (thunder strike) with two charges because of claws. Shotgunning is so rewarding with so little skill involved I feel at a disadvantage not shotgunning. Yea I can't map you from 50 meters away but it doesn't matter when I have my super before the 2 minute mark.

You think shotgun range is bad...have you seen thunderstrike?! Someone did a youtube video on how far away it can proc...it made me consider stormcaller.

The whole shot gun usage thing is the mode we are playing ... where getting crest and deny crest are important , making the game up close and personal .. so fast firing auto's and shotty are being used alot. I would say it just the game mode causing this right now. I know people still use shot guns in other modes. But are much more easier to deal with sense there are no crest to get!! Peace out and have fun
