Lol.. You're complaining about shotgun range in Destiny??? Have you ever fired a real shotgun?

  • Yes I have fired a real shotgun and I understand they have a deceptive amount of range for bird hunting. If your trying to relate this for real though, TLW would be a one shot body shot every time.

Then let's chill. With the exception of UR the shotguns in this game are pretty easily manageable. I get outgunned by Doctrine, Hawksaw, TLW, other shotguns, and snipers all the time. And TLW wouldn't be a one shot every time. That would depend on shot placement and what kind of ammunition it fired.

  • I mean I guess, like if you shot them in the big toe

No seriously, it's about shot placement and ammunition size. Believe it or not the bullet itself has less to do with killing than the cavitation caused when it enters the body, or even the hydrostatic shock created when a bullet impacts body armor. A 5.56 NATO bullet, when shot at less than 300 or 400 meters, will usually pass right through a body. Leaving a small diameter hole without much cavitation inside the wound channel. It doesn't do much damage and sometimes we have to shoot 5 or 6 times, or more to drop someone. Whereas a 5.56 heavy grain, something that would be fired subsonic out of a suppressed weapon, is more likely to tumble when it hits. Leaving a massive wound channel and a nasty exit wound. These types of ammo kill much faster.
