Whilst I do love a bit of Iron Banner basically I'm a PvE kinda guy.
I admire the skill of some of the PvP players enormously, especially the streams I've watched of some the Trials players.
I've really enjoyed Destiny & I am a confirmed Desticle!
But I have been baffled by Bungies insistance in continually trying to force PvE players to play in the Crucible.
I despaired then when I saw the Mountain Top Quest appear in the MoT scorecard.
No Triumph for me then.
And no...
I don't wanna get good either.
Edit 1: At no point do I say anything about hating the Crucible. I just find it a bit boring & not essential to the game.
Edit 2: lots of people asking why I would buy a game & then not play half of it?
Lol... Crucible is 1% of the game.
Edit 3: Keep being told to "stop whining kid"... probably by some 400 pound overpriviliged 24 year old with no job living in his mom's basement.
I'm 46 and work in the city & have a family too.

I don't wanna do the PvE portions of it, so I'm not gonna. I don't need any moment of triumph to prove I've played this game for a long time. I have The Supremacy for that :)
-
The mountaintop is easy. Look at my titans kd. Not very good right? I'm a scrub. I got that quest done in 7 games. Every game was a win. I even did the quest before it in a day as well. It's not hard!!! You have 2 solid months to play a maximum of 20 games.
-
That's the easiest PvP quest you could do. It's basically a stretched out bounty
-
ok so basically the moments of triumphs encompass acheivements that span the entire game, the complete rewards are awarded to people who play every facet of the entire game, every body needs to stop saying theyve been screwed cos they're solely pvp or pve, this game ships as complete unit, u can get 3/4 rewards from MOT without crucible anyway, and if you choose to just completely not play mountaintop or even attempt it then dont blame anyone but yourself, the hardest part is probably the weapon master bit, but basically all im saying is you have not been screwed over, if you put in a few hours a day towards this quest youll have in no time, imagine the players that havent even stepped foot in challenge of elders or done any of the pve stuff like fragments or hard raid or challenges.... my friend its really not as bad as you're making it it out to be... if youve been playing destiny AT ALL you should at least have hlaf of them already done
-
Sorry bud. Games don't have to cater specifically to you. You're not entitled. Prime example, that's the same as me saying I am entitled to my employers paying me to sit at home and play video games when I don't feel like working. I am also entitled to senior positions due to my time with the company. Neither one happens. Earn that rank 5 emblem, scrub. Just like you earn a living.
-
I'm no good at PvP either. But in all fairness, you don't even need to be good at PvP to complete the quest any more. They changed how the points for the questline are dished out and now you get points for losing as well as winning. So you don't need to be good, you just need to be there. Don't let it get in the way of your Moments of Triumph.

Edited by JackOfSpades835: 7/10/2016 12:47:42 AMThere are people who feel the opposite. I skipped every scene so I don't know the story. I recently found out the queen of the reef was dead. The missions are the same thing but in reverse and one taken boss is the same as the next with the same OP orbs and a different name. It's a little too repetitive actually. I suck at PvP but have improved a lot since I started. If I were any good at it I would only do PvP. The PvP part of the MoT is the only part im looking forward to and I have no decent stats to speak of. Edit: I don't want to get those 50 fragments again. Thats why I won't be completing MoT. I'm just gonna farm motes, mats and exotics for 3 months. Kiss my azz MoT

Edited by MrSwiftMind: 7/10/2016 12:49:03 AMOmg. Please stop. The s**t has been nerfed to God. It's not even close to as hard as it was at launch. You don't even have to win majority of the garbage. Also I'm pretty sure a lot of people who play have families and got it done... I do. I hate that excuse for video games. Just saying man. Really though it's not that hard. Like a guy below said just time consuming. You have until September 20th. Plenty of time if you really want it, don't stress.

1 ReplyIn the long run just got to remember its just a game and twenty years from now no one will ever remember that triumphs was a thing in destiny. Don't want to complete? Eh so what. I don't want to cause of crucible and that's alright with me.
-
Dude! Last year the not required 100 crucible wins! Hang in there--it can actually be fun.
-
You guys have it easier now. There were so many more steps in that questline before the update.
-
As a pvp player exclusively, I have to do the raid (hard mode), all 3 challenge modes, COE, 50 -blam!-ing bullshit collectibles, and subclasses. So, shut up
-
It's a really easy quest get over it. PVP payers don't cry they had to raid dear
-
1 ReplyNever played crucible either as I figured I would just get pub stomped! Then I seen M.O.T. required mountain top to complete. None of my guardian's were even rank 1 crucible but decided to grab my Titan main and give her a go. Can't believe how much fun it actually is. I'm not good but I've gotten most the quest done now except elimination cause trials in on. Weapons master will try ur patience especially hand cannon kills when everyone is running around with autos and scouts but from someone who never stepped in PvP before I'm suggesting give it a go cause it's actually a blast! Try all the different game modes and c which ones ya like and remember ur gonna get stomped, accept it, don't stress about it and have fun.

Edited by Cromegas_Flare: 7/10/2016 12:22:38 AMThe fact crucibal is in the MoT makes it unforgivable. If it were fun, sure. But it's not. Due to pride, I'm pushing the tears out of me just to complete it. At the same time, i need to beat Oryx on heroic, need to collect 3 more fragments, one of which is fake crota, another, challenge gogeroth.
-
Not hard just time consuming
-
6 RepliesWhat I hate is how I'm missing having completed the fragments and exotic sword quest in my MoT record book because I did them on my old Hunter I deleted a couple of months ago >.<
-
Oh no, you're going to miss an emblem. Boo hoo. I mean, why'd you have to play that 1% of the game to get something called "moments of triumph?" So stupid.
-
2 RepliesEdited by Forever277: 7/9/2016 8:35:52 PMIt's really not hard though, idk why so many people are all bent out of shape over it All it is is get 3 wins in every major playlist, skirmish, salvage, rumble, control etc Get 10-20 kills with every primary weapon type, hand cannons, pulses etc Then kill 50 people and get 10 wins Or whatever the exact numbers are, it's been 8 months since I did it... But the bottom line is, any scrub, terribile, sub 1.0 kd player can do it, all those playlists have matchmaking, you'll get carried to a couple wins in each playlist eventually lol Its actually far easier than the y1 MoT, you had to win a 100 matches lol
-
Or you could just go finish the questline which has already been dumbed down twice for people like you
-
I'm punishing myself in the crucible right now. God the crucible is brutal..
-
1 ReplyIt's called Moments of Triumph, not Moments of Convenience.
-
Edited by SolarEagle81: 7/9/2016 8:53:07 PMI agree, if I'm in a multiplayer mood I just go over to halo 5, for me destiny is a pve game.
-
2 RepliesIf you are really 46, you should be ashamed of yourself for such whiny behavior. The MoT is an achievement for ALL aspects of the game. I am also more of a PVE player and not a PVP player but there is minimal crucible objectives for the MoT compared to PVE anyways. Don't want to complete ALL aspects of the game to earn your Moments of Triumph rewards then you don't deserve it...period.
-
Dude play for an hour a night and you'll have it done in no time.
-
I have to do the hard raid and golgoroth challenge
