IGN Rates Uncharted 4 9/10- discuss
Here is my opinion.
What I am referring to, is IGN sends off Uncharted franchise with 9/10 while giving COD a higher rating due to Third Act being too long.
The fact that Uncharted breaks the mold and sets a new bar for adventure games yet again deserves a 9? Not to mention it has multiplayer mode which is just icing on the cake. Yea its not COD multiplayer, but it is just like frosting. The game is a great value and is a masterpiece.
You got to watch this review. This has to be the worst send off for a franchise that I have ever seen in history of gaming. This is Uncharted one of the greatest series in console game history. IGN should be ashamed. This lady reviewer is obviously not a fan of series and her review sounds like she was completely bored by the game. Just watch it. It doesn't sound like a 9'/10, at any point in that video I just expected her to say 7/10 and start snoring.

Even Xbox gamers know about Uncharted, I cannot support IGN after this debacle. I am serious will never buy a single magazine from them or give their opinions even a grain of salt.
There is no way that COD was better than Uncharted.
Thats like saying that McDonald's is better than a 5 star steakhouse. It just isn't true. COD releases the same damn thing every year, and adds some jetpacks this time around and some better graphics.
Uncharted on the other hand reworks the entire Adventure game genre. Not to mention they have a huge story, and multiplayer.
COD has a boring ass story, and the same basic multiplayer. It doesn't break any ground. It doesn't improve upon the formula. It just adds a few features. On The other hand Uncharted did break the mold and introduces Open World elements to adventure game, which has never been done before.
The review does not even mention any of the new things that Uncharted does. And does it so flawlessly that you feel like you never break away from the game. Similar to how Last Of Us did it.
Honestly Shaking My Head!
FYI - IGN has a Partnership with Gamestop and GameInformer.
So I wouldnt trust a single IGN written review because they are influenced by a company that sells video games. And which game sells the most every year? You guessed it. Call of Duty. http://corp.ign.com/press/2011/gamestop-and-ign-combine-media-and-retail-offerings
How dare you IGN giving a game I like only a 9/10, and rate a game I don't like higher than that. IGN please stop invalidating my choices.
-
You really are mad over something as insignificant as someone else opinion. Tell me, how does this affect your daily living in any way?
-
The reviewer complained about the gaming being too long? Possibly the dumbest complaint ever.

1 ReplyActivision and IGN 👌👈

Since when was 9/10 a bad score?

2 RepliesIGN- 7/10 Too much water

IGN rates most things 8-9/10, discuss.
-
Yeah reads like a 7/10, that's why it's important to never acknowledge the score on big review sites who take backhanders. The reviewer's usually do a good job at pointing out the positives, negatives, base your decision on how it reads.
-
Remember that these are the people who rate the average Call of Duty over the average Pokemon.

We all know IGN's scores are bogus. Just ignore it, and search for another trusted reviewer.

1 ReplyYou think ign cares about games anymore? They got famous, and rich so now they'll just give scores off of a random number generator or a dice roll. They clearly don't even play the games they review that much
-
1 ReplyIgn do always give Cod the same score which is clearly a paid review. However all of the Uncharted games seem to start strong but forget what they're doing or what is happening. 4 does this the least but the series is overrated by far. Sully is the best character but he's always written out of the game.

2 RepliesWait..so let me get this straight. You just NOW, lost faith in IGN?

So they gave it a good review and you still complain Nice

The game slowed down too much multiple times, they shoehorned in Nate's brother, made a stupid plot (then wrote off the stupid plot by making it a lie), added grappling hooks to appeal to Assassin's Creed fans and then made the climax entirely mundane and non-supernatural (bucking the trend of the entire series). Oh and the TLOU writers couldn't make a game without a 10 year old girl wandering around a house. Was the game good? We're the graphics phenomenal? Was it a solid adventure game? Yes, yes and yes... But it sent off the Uncharted series with a whimper. The exceptionally simplistic puzzles were a big turn off as well. I pushed through it in 13 hours and I kind of wish I could get 5 of those hours back. I really felt like it was a game from the early 2000's with fancy graphics. I'd still give it a 9/10, despite all the negatives I threw out there.

1 ReplyAre you saying that 9 is a bad score? Lol

1 ReplyUncharted 4 and the witcher 3 is worse than Cod games Ign facts

During my student years i considered a 9 a unobtainable high score. Great score for a great game. Means if you like the series and type of game a lot, it could be a 10 for you.

Edited by Kilg orr Trout: 6/7/2016 9:33:15 PMa 9/10 is an excellent score though...

1 ReplyNo, IGN as a whole did not rare Uncharted 4 a 9/10. That one reviewer did. There are other reviewers under the IGN umbrella that probably would've given the game a 10, if they had the opportunity to have their review posted.

2 RepliesIGN always gives CoD high reviews. Pretty sure Activision or somebody pays them off. They're awful reviewers. Sometimes they're right but it's more of a 50/50 shot. That reviewer is also inexperienced. Read that somewhere just can't remember where. Nonetheless Uncharted 4 is the highest rated and best selling Ps4 exclusive and highest rated GAME of this entire console generation. Look at Metacritic's critic reviews, the game is a 93. The Last of Us was a 95 and we all know how amazing that game was (and still is). Uncharted coming that close to a Last of Us pedestal? No one saw that coming. What's so insulting is that jealous Xbots seem to keep trying to sabotage specific PS games on websites such as Metacritic. It's not the first time and don't act like it doesn't happen because it does Gamers are just so hateful and cynical these days they'll trash a game just because they can't have it. It's so childish and it's ruining the gaming industry. Look at how Uncharted has made the hardcore Xbots just lose their minds. It's crazy and just sad. They don't want to buy the *cough* superior *cough* I mean, other console, to enjoy the fun, simply out of pride. I know some people on here would think I've done the same thing but that was simple trolling. I bought an Xbox and played all it has to offer (which quite frankly isn't much except for MCC and Tomb Raider and TR isn't even a real exclusive). I will say you'll be a happier gamer is just put down your pitchfork and just play the -blam!-ing game. Pride and arrogance ruin the gaming playerbase and it's a -blam!-ing shame.
-
Reviewers just need to stop throwing around ridiculously high scores and use a number scale that actually makes -blam!-ing sense.
-
I agree, it deserves a 10. I don't listen to IGN anyways.

9 Replies9 is too high tbh
