Sparrow + Elite controller = Slow ride

PROBLEM SOLVED! I recently bought an Elite controller, and am having a problem where my sparrow in patrol is concerned. When squeezing the left trigger for the boost I go slower than when I do not use boost. There is the expected graphic with the corresponding rapid shot forward, but once the graphic is over it moves at a snail's pace. This has been a problem since first using the controller, prior to any button remapping. Also, I have tried resetting the defaults, and have contacted Microsoft. None of this has made any difference, and Microsoft states it must be something on the Bungie end of things. Can anyone help, or has anyone experienced this?

  • If you have your trigger stops on you won't go full speed, so turn them off. To reach full speed you need to be able to fully depress the left trigger.

    • Hello DA 1313, Hair triggers on a controller can cause this issue, on the bottom of the Elite controller is the hair trigger switch you just need to turn it off when using a Sparrow, because a Sparrow requires a full pull of the trigger to boost. https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12119
