While I like to say I'm decent at sniping, I know there's plenty room for improvement. Are there any videos you'd recommend or modes that would be better to play than others? Also recommendations for snipers? I have 1000 ys, LDR with hidden hand, zen meteor and black spindle.
Edit: what sensitivity do you play on? I'm currently at whatever the max is
Edit 2: thanks for the tips everyone. I think I'm gonna try using NLB and pradyths timepiece (or the sniper from VoG for low Aim assist) also I'll bump my sensitivity down a few notches for added control along with the auto-centering option so my sniper will be at head level more often.
Thanks again!

Use no land beyond and another low aim assist sniper.

True vanguard has a great playlist on YouTube it really helped me out

Go to crucible. Use a sniper. Don't die.
-
I play on 2 sensitivity, it felt super slow at first coming down from 10 but it helped me out so much with my snipes.
-
5 Replies1. Equip a sniper 2. Use the sniper
-
Just practice in strikes and pvp matches that have plenty of range
-
Lower sensitivity to 3. This will benefit both your sniping and primary weapon aim. Also if you are decent at sniping, any of the sniping tips vids won't show anything new
-
Just use a sniper. Why would you watch videos?
-
Cabal heads are more head level of a guardian. Practice with them.

1 ReplyRun nlb and a sniper as a special, that way you can't use anything else.
-
Go on patrol and practice turning around and shooting something at head level
-
Lower your sensitivity so you have more control, rather then overshooting your positioning on target. I recommend sensitivity of 5. It'll feel weird but once you get used to it you'll be fine. Also turn on auto centering it helps with keeping your sniper leveled.

1 ReplyIs the roll on my Longbow any good?
-
1 ReplyDoes changing sensitivity really matter? When I play my first few games I use 8 then bump it up to 10 when I'm warmed up. I think I'm a decent sniper.

Lower your sensitivity. If you want to make shots on distance easier a lower sensitivity will help you. Awareness and positioning are things you developed when you play more but are important as well

Skirmish slower pace Rumble don't even Bc it's all about danger around every corner

1 ReplyEdited by Iyrha: 4/26/2016 4:13:40 AMBuy the vendor 1k and run ambush/armor piercing, not only will it have low aim assist (-31), but it will also be a little bit slower and will teach you to take more time lining up shots. Then just go into rumble or any game mode by yourself and practice practice practice. One common mistake new snipers do is look for the supposed "sniper lanes" that are supposed to exist in every game. Here's a tip: good snipers know the lanes by heart and stick to them; great snipers make their own lanes. Do with that as you will, and I wish you the best of luck.
BTW, I run a sensitivity of 5 no matter what I'm playing as or what my loadout looks like. Also, taking a look at some of the various sniper tutorials and guides all over the internet would definitely help, just keep in mind what I said about lanes.
Queenbreaker's bow

Check out True Vanguards youtube channel, he has a lot of sniping tutorials. If you like a laugh, also check out the Almighty Daygon.

First I'd recommend lowering the sensitivity (I'm playing at 2-3). I usually go to the Rocket Yard on Earth and kill every enemy with a headshot using a sniper.
-
Look at True Vanguard's sniper school, and his patrol practice stuff
-
Yeah play on a sensitivity of .5 and use a shotgun
-
Lower your sens to 3-5. Im playing on 3. Just keep playing, know the maps, learn to preaim, and to swipe instead of holding the reticle right at the corner. Bc aim assist will push you off sometimes then

In 3v3 modes? Just anywhere in crucible? Watch any how to snipe tutorial?

Don't. Just say no.
