Feelings on Islam?
So what is your opinion on Islam?
Do you believe it spreads peace or that it's original motive was to spread hate?

It's pretty messy. Not too fond of Islam's holy book. And nowadays the jihad part of Islam is rampant, and the violence encouraged in the Quran ain't helping. I am not fond of any religion really. Makes people dumb.

Although they subscribe to the Islamic faith , they are looking at it from an old Testament perspective where all "evil and wrong doing must be purged by fire". Christians were like this 200 hundred years ago (some still are) , but most of us moved beyond the dark ages some time ago.

12 RepliesNothing is objectively good or bad. Islam happens to have a very belligerent stance on non-Muslims and unfortunately, this leads many Muslims to refuse to integrate into their host societies and creates an 'us vs them' attitude, which can boil over into acts of terrorism.

Intellectually I know the violent version of Islam called I think wahabism? Is in a minority! It's Like .0001% of Islamic followers! But since 2001 as an atheist I've viewed [b]ALL[/b] religions with suspicion! Pre 2001 my views were "if you wish to believe in a Santa like being as an adult, I find it odd but hey whatever floats your boat" but knowing people want me dead purely because I don't perceive the world the same as them! I now view [b]ALL[/b] religious people with the same suspicion! "If you believe in a Santa like being as an adult you should be in an asylum!" For the safety of the sane people on the on the planet! ;) Apologies to all the non psychotic religious folk! But Personally I can't spot the difference between a sane & insane person who believes in deities

It isn't the religion that is bad, it is the people and the people who make the religion bad are numerous and infectious. I would rather not, but Islam has to be nearly eradicated by the good Muslims (or else we just delay this issue) and be rebuilt from the ground up almost. We CANNOT have religious terrorists and regimes popping up and thriving and this has no signs of stopping
