I don't know how to deal with my life
Hello, I am a 13 year old boy who currently is hating life. I am constantly getting picked on at my school because I'm "overly sensitive to jokes" and because my name (mcninja29) means minecraft ninja. I made this username when I was 8, but no one really cares to listen.
On top of that my grades are falling rapidly. I went from being an all A's student to a C's and D's student. I no longer feel motivated to do anything in my life.
My parents do not know what I'm going through so sometimes I come of as rude when I say something, but in reality, I meant it in a different way. This leads to arguments which makes me feel like everyone just hates me.
Destiny is the only place I actually feel wanted. It's the only thing I look forward to at the end of the week. This game is one of the only things that makes me feel like life is worth living.
Thank you to Bungie for making my life feel decent. Without this game... I fear where I'd be.
Just had to get that off my chest.

3 RepliesSometimes too much videogame can hinder you. Try getting out, interact with people at school. Try making some other friends. Life is never easy but the more you out into it the better it gets. Don't expect things to get easy just because you want them too. I had similar issues in junior high and high school but when I decided to start trying I starting making friends that actually cared and my parents were understanding once I tried to really communicate with them. Your 13 yrs old and have plenty of life left to live. No worries. It gets better.

Tell your parents the truth and find a way to be confident outside of the game. If you don't it will lead to serious anxiety outside of games and you will struggle with everyday things. At the end of the day being confident in destiny won't get you very far in the outside world. Play games but keep a healthy social life in the real world. Maybe try some therapy if possible. I don't mean to be mean or sarcastic in any of this but it's the harsh truth learnt from experience.

People make fun of other people in school for various reasons. Sometimes its to hide their own problems. Words can only hurt you if you let them. Accept yourself be confident in who you are. People go for easy targets. Once they see you arent getting annoyed the majority of teasing will stop. Nothing wrong with your username at all. Its your gamer tag. Its your badge own it. Im 34 and My tag is Finney_Wolverine. Its mine and i dont care what people think. Mcninja aint a bad one at all. As far a your school work goes it just seems to be a dedication problem on your part. If you have fallen from A's to C's or D's then you can get back to form again by doing what you used to do. Treat your school work like a destiny quest. Set aside a few nights per week where you study for 2 hours for your school work which dont change no matter what. Keep up to date with course work and study as its easier than playing catch up. Grades are a means to an end. They help you open up better opportunities in the future but they dont define who you are. Everyone will tell you in later life if i could do it again id have studied more. just do the best you can. Your parents love you no matter what. You can tell them anything. They will do their best to help you. Its good to have games and other mediums to chill to and help you get through stuff but make sure you dont escape into them and forget about life. Get yourself an active hobby that gets you outside. Exercise always makes you feel better. Your still young and have it all ahead of you. Life will be cruel but it will also be awesome. At different times it will also be plain right dull. Surround yourself with good friends and cool people and you will all help eachother get through. Ps. Pray. As a grown man believe me God can see you through the worst of things. Also believe in yourself, no matter what others say you can have personal peace and joy. I got problems as an adult and destiny is a nice escape, but not the solution. You gotta face reality one day at a time and make better yourself.

Don't let them bother you little dude. Concentrate on school. If you show the bullies that it doesn't bother you than they will go away eventually. Just mind your own business and focus on what you are doing and trust me you will be fine. Things that you should work toward is saving your money when you get some. This will put you ahead when you buy a car and have your own wheels when it comes time. This will lead to girls having interest. This will also get you a job that you can go back and forth to. I can't stress enough. You can't worry about everyone else. You have to concentrate on what you are doing. Destiny is just a game and when push comes to shove the people you know online can't help you. Your family and yourself are the most important things you need to worry about. Hope this helps man.

Pt 2 since i accidentally posted when I wasn't done. But stop being sensitive they are only joke and only hurt you if you let them. Stop talking about no one wants you because if that was true your parents wouldn't be there or buying the things you like. I'm pretty sure they provide food shelter and cloths. Think about kids the same age as you or younger who have to worry about the basic needs like food and water. Your life ain't that bad. Remember happiness is all a state of mind
