RIP to anyone who tried to hit max light. Not that it did much anyway.

They always increased light levels why do so many complain now

Welcome to the grind

4 RepliesWhy don't you just let people play the way they want? Max grimoire score used to be in the 3000s, now it's almost 5000. People like being on top, there's nothing wrong with that. Like many have already said, there's no point in reaching 320, yet people do. Why? Because they like the challenge and enjoy the game. So -blam!- you.

so are boobs without nipples

1 ReplyWasnt pointless to me. Im a completionist. So i like to cap out then move on to other games until more content arrives. I max out so i have a smooth transition into new content. For example, i can jump straight into the 320 light poe day 1 for best rewards with all 3 characters. Its one of them games where if you dont keep up to date from the beggining, you get left behind fast! I'll go with the flow until i get bored or none of my buddies play no more.

1 ReplyThis whole game is pointless once you stop having fun. It's become all stick & no carrot. The loot system in Destiny is -blam!-ing garbage.
-
The only time ill care about the number of light level after i can do all activities is when the light level is
420

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I understand your frustration. I just really hope obtaining 335 gear is actually difficult and the challenges are...challenging. I don't want to come to the tower in June and see every single person at 335. Then I will know it was too easy and they made a mistake. It should take time and not be easy to hit the max light level. If the challenges are easy and everyone is 335 in a month, it will feel hollow.

It's always gonna be pointless in long run. I had fun that's all I care about

6 RepliesThe funny part is i am the only member of my raid group that hit 320. And none of us have played Destiny in over 2 weeks. I'm not even playing the Division, just taking a break until Dark Souls drops on April 12.

Edited by Eighth Kind: 3/27/2016 6:47:29 PMPlaying video games is pointless? :] look I can make a smiley face too! Making posts on the destiny forums... Pointless? RIP
-
Where have you been for the last few level increases... It's nothing new. I didn't even bother this time.
-
5 RepliesEdited by Sapphire Eye: 3/27/2016 8:57:02 AMOn the bright side, now we'll have a guaranteed method of reaching 335 instead of continuously getting gear with low light
-
I stopped playing when they release Oryx HM, I think I hit 311. I'll just go into the 260 light level PoE activity :)
-
Yeah once prison of elders max level gear launches everyone will be 335
-
As will always be the case in this game. Lol.
-
-blam!-ing Ratchet and Clank drops on April 12th.... Try out the new stuff, then get me some nostalgia
-
It always was pointless unless you enjoyed doing getting there. It's all about the journey.
-
By that logic everything anyone has ever done, ever was pointless anyway.
-
Ah, the other guy. How've you been??

Edited by Devasstator: 3/27/2016 1:06:30 PMOf course it is, but realistically, max light level has never had any point. It doesn't unlock any new content, it just makes the same content slightly easier.....well it did in year 1. Year 2 it literally does nothing, Welcome to the treadmill! Don't worry though, come Destiny 2 everyone will be back at zero (like with every DLC) so getting to max level in Destiny 1 for the 5th time will have been pointless. For my personally from now on, I will play through the content a couple of times (new content, not April) and move onto something else. Hate the hamster wheel grind now.
-
320 is going to be easy as long as you grind out PoE.
-
It's all pointless in the end anyway.
-
It was pointless before we even knew the update was coming honestly.
-
Still at 29x light. Stopped playing back in October/November. Will see if there's more incentive to play once the reveals are all done.

3 RepliesWhen I hit 320 light all I thought was well atleast now I can one-shot those light eater knights with a sniper headshot. I was wrong, literally no difference in damage to when I was 319 :(
