Trying hand cannon for pvp
So i enjoyed playing a few games of control on my warlock the other day. Getting a few kills nothing super spectacular that I'm gonna try to play more and learn a little more.
So i started using the hung jury. I could get many kills with it. I have the reaction time of a retarded sloth at times so trying to scope and shoot was worse. I switched to suros regime it was fun but the start lower rate of fire kind of threw me off, so I was using zhalo supercell. That was fun and I think because I always use it in strikes I'm More comfortable with it. But.. I want to try using handcannons they just look awesome and watching videos of people using them it seems viable.
For someone who isn't raiding at the moment. And seriously just hoping for drops when I use 3oc. What is the best way to go for handcannons (which rep, or faction or anything)

Eyasluna. I have a god roll on my warlock and it is crazy how good it does.

Appellant (NM) is good with the right perks. Eyasluna if you can get it to even drop and with good perks. I'd say TLW but it'll be tough to use for someone that hasn't tried out any hand cannons.

1 ReplyI just looked through my inventory I did pick up a 280 Byronic hero with underdog and Grenadier and snap shot. Not sure if that will be a good choice to level up or try for better

Iv been loving Finnala's peril. Last resort is a crap perk ( situationally speaking ) but explosive rounds and reactive reload make this gun a monster. I used to used thorn, devil you know, fatebringer, word of crota, 6 dreg pride (elemental and non), and finnala's peril is the closest thing to what I love in handcannons that I have found in y2.

Eyasluna is good. I have one with rangefinder so works well on bigger maps. Depends on the roll but this is a random crucible drop so not easy to come by. Third eye is also useful for anticipating enemy movement and hitting crits

2 RepliesByronic hero has good base stats, look for one with Hidden Hand, Rifled Barrel and then perk of your choice for the best legendary hand cannon in the game currently.. Given the already high AA, hidden hand makes it STICKY as hell on your targets heads :) Pair with hand cannon reload gloves, obviously..

A lot of people are saying The Vanity from Future War Cult...it's good but the Omolon Uffern from the gunsmith is better if you get a good roll. Of course the other consensus is Eyasluna and I completely agree. I've had about 4 different rolls drop but my first one is still the best. Sureshot is the best sight and Rangefinder is a must have. I also have Smallbore for even more range and stability. The best perk for the last spot is Luck in the Chamber. It's the best legendary hand cannon even with a mediocre perk roll. Hawkmoon is good but not as good as it used to be, so it's not really worth the exotic slot...IMO I love Ace of Spades but that's a Hunter only exotic. The Last Word is really a gun all its own, it's hardly a hand cannon as it doesn't function like any other. Use it if you like but it'll take some practice and isn't always reliable. It can be OP in the right hands but I don't care much for it in PvP.

6 RepliesLike some other have said if you have a poor reaction with scouts a full auto pulse may be the best choice. More forgiving with missing but still more powerful than autos in most Fire fights. They may give you the practice to step in to scout and hand cannon use. Bad juju is a very useful gun in PvP.

2 RepliesFor normal Crucible where light level doesn't matter,it's worth grinding some Prison of Elders to get Her Mercy. The one I have dropped with Luck in the Chamber, Final Round, and Braced Frame. It can easily two-hit kill with crits, and it's one of the few weapons you can reroll if you don't like the perks you get the first time.

Tbh the only one I have an occasionally use when and if I play Trials or Crucible is the Hawkmoon. Yes it got nerfed but mine can wipe the floor with people. That being said, later I'll probably use it again for old times sake :-)
