Things people say about weed:
1. It's addictive! (So are cigarettes & alcohol.)
2. It impairs your judgment. (So does alcohol.)
3. It's bad for your health. (So are cigarettes, alcohol, and cheeseburgers.)
4. People can die from a drug overdose! (You can die from alcohol poisoning too but that's still legal.)
Give me one legitimate reason why weed should be outlawed. Just one.
Edit: 5. "It kills brain cells." (Not really.)
"Marijuana (Cannabis) – Another myth among anti-drug campaigns is that marijuana kills brain cells; this is not at all true. Smoking weed or cannabis will not cause neurons to die. Despite the fact that marijuana may impair the brain while the user is high, it doesn’t do any cellular damage or really harm the brain. Based on most literature, it is one of the safest illicit substances for your brain. Really the only major thing that heavy marijuana use can do is increase your risk for developing schizophrenia."

12 RepliesSo let's legalize illegal drugs? I'll go grab my heroin and LSD from CVS. I'll be back in 20 minutes if I don't get in a wreck because of it!
-
18 RepliesGotta lol @ people who think legalising it would reduce crime. Governments sell natural weed, after a while smoking natural weed had little effect on the user, or requires significantly more to get an effect from it. This only encourages dealers to sell premium laced weed that had increased potency.

1 ReplyYou are a criminal if you use it . You are not a criminal if you abuse alcohol. What is the difference . Your still affecting your health either way.
-
Over time it turns you into a Mong, dumbs you down and makes you less motivated. I've seen it first hand. That's from serious abuse though
-
If they made it legal taco bell would be over worked.
-
12 RepliesI just want them to legalize it already so you brain dead stoners will shut up about it already.
-
I want maryjane to be legal so that the government can regulate and tax it.
-
7 Replies1. Marijuana doesn't kill you 2. It can be used as medicine 3. I heard there are many ways to get high from marijuana than just smoking it 4. It makes you look cool while using it
-
The only reason it's not legal in some states is because it can't be taxed.
-
9 RepliesWhy don't we just make alcohol, cigarettes, etc. illegal too?
-
All you really did was say that it's bad ad give reasons why cigarettes and alcohol should be illegal. Way to go.

4 Replies( ☭ ͜ʖ☭) A proper work force can't be distracted by any form of distracting substances in the bright future ahead.

If America legalizes it for only medical purposes then that's fine. If they legalize it for recreational use they can tax it, and it be a lot safer than how people get it now from a shady dealer
-
I don't think it should be outlawed by the government or forcefully legalized everywhere. As stated in the 10th amendment, that decision rests in the hands of the states. I'm happy Colorado followed the constitution and made that decision for their own.

2 RepliesI brought up this topic in school with LCDs and cocaine.

This reminds me, I saw some idiot get arrested at McDonald's for hotboxing their car, they just left their bong and a mason jar full of alcohol out on the dash. Tl;dr some jackass got arrested, don't drive drunk and/or high, also they smelled.

1 ReplyBecause legalizing it further pushes the LIBERAL AGENDA!!!!!!
Obvious joke

Or is it?
-
Why not
-
All those reasons are good

5 RepliesEdited by Assassin Trump: 3/20/2016 11:57:24 AMWhy make another product like alcohol and cigarettes legal, to have more people die, more people driving "drunk". We are already trying to get people to stop smoking cigarettes and we know that alcoholism is a huge problem so why give people another thing to start an addiction with when there r literally no positive side effects, it's just gonna -blam!- everything up for u I say only legalize it medically cause that has lots of positive potential

Holy hell. I thought the people on these forums were idiots already, but seeing the amount of uneducated hate in here just sets a whole new bar on the amount of blind ignorance that I can handle.

I find it a problem that the strains I mainly work with are illegal. I use low thc high cbd for seizures, you wont get high. You have too many people with unfounded opions; they think to themselves I've never used or needed and I hate druggies so its bad. With the advent of social media I believe we can watch in real time the evolution of the human brain, you have the people that can string two thoughts together and thats it and people that have an actual thought process. I guess it could be devolution, anyone remember goombas from super mario bros movie.

5 RepliesHonestly, now that I've thought about it, I don't see much difference between weed and alcohol, but maybe limit how much weed can be purchased by one person to prevent junkies from getting high? Maybe use a card system, where when they buy their first thing of weed for that day, they have to get a card, and have it hole-punched, and from then on when they purchase weed that day, they get more hole punches? Maybe limit it to three, and regulate the amount of weed that can be bought at one time.

Phew..... This is the cheeseburger place, right? I'll take one now. And some chips. I'm hungry.

Im fine with legalization of marijuana, but to an extent. If everybody in a country is high on marijuana, then that makes us an easy target for an attack. Look at China, when they were all hooked on opium. They were so desperate for opium, that they started trading valueable stuff for opium. After a while of being hooked on opium for so long, the British took advantage of the Chinese and invaded them, starting the Opium Wars. Sure, marijuana doesnt sedate people as opiates do. However, if the country gets so high from everybody smoking weed everywhere, then that could be a threat with the foes we have and their dangerous weaponry. Tl;dr: If everybody is high, we could be taken advantage of. But thats unlikely to happen so yay marijuana!

8 RepliesIf you're comparing it to negative side effects of things that are already legal, that doesn't justify anything. It just shows why it shouldnt be legalized.
