9 RepliesDepends on what happened last night. As you laid down to sleep your last sleep while of the age of 17, were you visited by an other-worldly creature that was both ethereal and terrifying? Because, on the night before someone's 18th birthday, the Adult Fairy is supposed to visit them and bestow upon them the gifts of maturity, responsibility and wisdom so that when they awaken, they are not the child who went to sleep the night before, but rather a new creature known as an adult who knows all things, can do all things, never lets bills go to collection agencies, makes dentist appointments, pays for utilities, and generally "has their shit together". It's an amazing and magical transformation, and something wonderful to witness. Of course, she's a busy fairy and understandably can't get to everyone who is transitioning to 18. So, those who she misses? Well, they just struggle on through life. Trying to adult, and wondering how other adults do it with so little apparent effort. Congratulations. And good luck.
