I can see it now... The arminius-d is OP. It needs to be nerf'd.
I can't wait to use the one with crowd control/spray and play.
The reality is, Arm-d and doctrine perform exactly like they should... Melt in close-medium to close range and not much else...
hand cannons can definitely compete against it in the same range (hawkmoon, last word, etc)...
In medium-long to long range it loses to pulse/scout/longer range autos.
I get melted more than most by these HROF types of autos but that's because I'm dumb and try to rush with the wrong weapons to challenge most of the time and am just not as accurate as most I challenge (Grieving emote)
Even so I hope they leave them right where they are.
Anyone try out the "focused fire" versions of the arminius-d yet? If so what are your impressions of it?

2 RepliesWhich maniac would want one that doesn't have counterbalance?
-
Braced frame pun?
-
3 RepliesI got one with focus fire and braced frame. Super excited to use it, then ran into the Last Word around every corner.
-
Yeah you can bet they'll cut its balls off like hopscotch pilgrim because it dared try and compete.
-
Everyone said not to get it but honestly I really like CC and S&P works really well and it has a stability perk too it doesn't need counterbalance and a braced fame to be good... It's kick is perfectly controllable or maybe I've just had a lot of practice Y1 with Atheon's Epilogue lol
-
2 RepliesIs it worth getting this week!?!?
-
3 RepliesMy rangefinder Doctrine is still pretty beastly, and with Braced Frame.
-
1 ReplyHaha I get it, "brace" yourselves. Because this type of weapon needs braced frame for decent stability. 10/10 pun good sir.
-
Auto rifles suck imo

1 ReplyArminius d wrecks. I picked up the 2nd roll. Played a match with it unleveled lol recoil everywhere but when i was able to get close it wrecked them

1 ReplyEdited by girflush: 3/3/2016 11:44:09 PMI tried the crowd control one for a minute in patrol. Didn't really like the sights or the recoil so sharded it and will be sticking with the doctrine.

1 ReplyEdited by Turferpop: 3/4/2016 12:51:02 AMThe problem isn't the guns, but the amount of people using the same guns, we need diversity.

1 ReplyUsed mine in pvp and went right back to my doctrine. Spray and play with crowd control is better for pve. Crowd control lasts like 2 seconds and spray and play isn't really needed it reloads fast enough. Doctrine has a little more range, mine have hidden hand or range finder, and both are adept (which means nothing now without elemental burns ) if you can't get your hands on a doctrine this is a good alternative, but just not quite as good as doctrine.

1 ReplyEdited by ThankYouBungle: 3/3/2016 10:31:36 PMThe main reason people whine about this archetype is because they have to engage at the range intended with their midas. They can no longer waltz into shotgun range and still expect to win with a scout

2 RepliesArminus defeats my Iron Banner AR but not my Monte Carlo. Had many deaths before switching. I think the problem is that Bungie has nerfed AR's so often and in so many ways that the stats no longer reflect actual performance.
-
3 RepliesNon-exotic gunsmith weapons are kind of trash on the whole unless you get a perfect spread of perks. I don't even bother unless i need legendary marks. Course, i don't spend legendary marks on anything anymore so... the gunsmith is pretty much worthless for me.
-
2 RepliesThis gun has been out for so long, the gunsmith has sold it multiple times. So why do you think this is going to happen now?
-
1 ReplyI am glad to see something other then the doctrine. But those rolls are not the best. Braced frame and counterbalance roll would be cool.
-
7 RepliesFocused fire raises a weapons overall damage, but it lowers its dps. So it's more of a PvE perk.
-
1 ReplyFought a team in control where every single person was using it. The sound of 6 Arminius's going non stop was definitely annoying, but they couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Lol They should've saved it for a better roll
-
8 RepliesThe only complaint I have is the gunsmith will never have a counterbalance, perfect balance/rifled barrel (your preference), hidden hand roll.
-
2 RepliesI hope it doesn't get nerfed. I've wanted one for a long while now since it's the only good legendary AR with max rate of fire that I'll probably be able to get. And after looking at it before the Armsday order even came out, I thought I would want Spray and Pray and Speed Reload for even more bullet hell, so the second option this week worked out amazingly for me. Always need moar dakka. I just wish I had thought to buy two more orders on my other characters like people said in this thread. Would be nice if an even better one comes out (didn't realize I could have the two perks I wanted and one more, the Crowd Control surprised me). But whatever. Btw, thanks to the people who mentioned that, I'll definitely remember it in the future for any orders I like!
-
Dude the perks this time around were shit, why the hell would I want focused fire? I bought the gun to be a bullethose not some medium RoF AR. Only good one is S&P + crowd control and it is mainly because of the braces frame
-
With focused fire it's like a 60 round Zariniea with better aim assist.
-
I'm holding onto mine. I'm waiting for counterbalance and braced frame. I like the other iron sight with the circle too.

1 ReplyI'm confused how people know what the rolls for the arms day weapons will be before picking them up?
