Ok I'm tired of placing trip mines on everything and when my enemies are detonating my trip mine they only have 25% health left. Trip mines are suppose to be instent* kills Trip mines need buffed to 100% kills. Also the fact when they step on it need to explode not 3 second delay

I agree, they should buff fusion rifles.
-
Instant*
-
The best is when you stick someone and he turns to share it with his team mates.
-
No, they should only one hit kill low armor targets
-
So you're mad something you use doesn't one hit kill someone? *gasp* wjat ever shall you do? Oh, go and shoot the guy. Don't plant and hide. Yes you could use it as a trap or to watch your back, but peoples armor and angle matter. Could have slid past it with max armor plus a chest piece that increases their armor.
-
I've had people run clean over it stop right into of it and it's only taken a quarter of there shield
-
Tripmine is an insanely powerful greanade. Stop bitching and adapt
-
If they walk into it yes but running or sliding helps avoid it!

8 RepliesLearn how to stick ppl with trip mines like I do you will always guarantee a kill but yeah besides that players can survive them if they are running max armor builds .. Titans and warlocks with the ram . Tripmines do Around 194 damage a guardian has about 200 HP so yeah doesn't always guarantee a kill practice sticking players
-
1 ReplyTripmine grenades are like nipples. Some are sensitive and some are not. Some I could squeeze and they wouldn't blow up. Others it only takes a slight chilly breeze.
-
Trip mine damage is fine there's just a few things to note. Full armor with solar resistance allows you to survive them at point blank range. If they're just stuck to a surface you can survive the blast by side stepping the explosion similar to how avoiding lightning grenades works as both grenades rely on a cone shaped damage field. If you stick someone though with the trip mine you're almost guaranteed the kill unless something odd happens.
-
2 RepliesAt least yours go off, I've seen people walk right on top of mine and they just sit there.
-
It's really wonky right now. If it was always an instant kill that would overpowered. Right now it's about 70% of the time it leaves you with a kiss of health, 15% it one shots you, and 15% it's avoided. I main Titan, but I would really like to see some consistency with these trip mines. If they decreased detonation time to almost zero, and decreased the damage slightly so it it constantly takes off around 4/5s of your health, that would be perfect. If it one shot guardians it would get nerfed hard and be nearly useless. I think this is a pretty good compromise, because it still does a lot of damage, and it's consistent.

Lol trip mines are one of the most strongest grenades in the game, there needs to be a counter to everything in this game. People abuse trip mines by using it as a panic grenade, it works even better than a sticky grenade at times too. Its very powerful and easy to use, its fine that some people actually survive it, that way hunters would want to use other grenades that are just as good. I bet other than trip mine you had no idea you had other awesome grenades like incendiary grenade. I don't care for trip mines and I feel its fair an enemy with max armor survives the trip mine. Why do hunters always want to be the top subclass? Greedy little hunters lol

2 Repliesthere should be a counter to everything in the game. I like the ability to dodge tripmines.
-
I like them as is. Sure, they don't always kill but the can be used as sticky or mines. So the versatility wins out for me. I even use the ahamkara spine.
-
Someone put one right on my face, didn't even know they could stick you until then. I suggest you should start doing that.
-
Try sticking the player next time
-
It's not supposed to be a OHK. If you stand next to it with full health, it will only deal 199 damage. The only way it would OHK if if the enemy has low armor.
-
It doesn't bother me if its not a OHK, but it DOES bother me when they trigger it, they are clearly within its blast radius (damned near on top of it), and they take ZERO damage. And then sometimes, I'm very far away from it and I somehow still trigger it and it kills me. It leaves me stunned saying to myself WT-ACTUAL-F?!?!
-
I do well with trip mines. I have people walk away from them some times but I also get random kills even double kills from trip mines that ended up in a spot where didn't mean to throw it. I'd say these kills makes up for the ones that people walk away from. I've been having a lot of fun with double trip mines and max discipline.

2 RepliesI agree 100% that trip mines need to be buffed. I think the solution is what you alluded and there shouldn't be a huge delay on activation. Right now, unless someone decides to sit down in front of one, it's almost impossible to get kills without sticking people. With the exaggerated delay in detonation, it's just too easy to move out of them enough to not take lethal damage. Hell, when I see them Blinking on walls, half the time I just sprint through because I can clear them before they go off.
-
I agree completely

Edited by DeltaZulu77: 3/2/2016 4:29:40 PMHigh armor plus a sharp guardian on the jump button can save them. It should be like this. I get post mortems all the time from wayward and forgotten trip mines. Having it always be a OHK would be OP. And the delay isn't 3 seconds, more like half a second.
-
That's lag for you should be intanst but it never is unless it's stuck to their head and your standing in front of them.
-
Didn't know grenades didn't have fall off farther outside of its radius. Tripmine is the ONLY one. Poor hunters :-(
