IB worth the grind?
Tell your stories here and cast your vote. IB gets a big hell no from me. Until some much needed fixes are put in place, I'll sit the rest out.
Edit : just let my 4 year old run around for a few games and he got me a 315 shell and sniper. Da hell man....

If you're 316 and above, it's likely not. 315, depends how bored you are. You know going into the event what the rank 5 package drops; a random item with random light between 310-320. Depending on your current light level, the odds of getting gear that benefits you changes. You have to take that into consideration when entering the event and attempting to manage your expectations.

Looks like I am in the minority by far, but I said "hell yes". To me, it isn't a grind. I play because I enjoy it. The loot wasn't great for me this time, but I accept it's RNG and whatever I get is just gravy.

For me the best part was getting my Titan from rank 0 to rank 5 in three hours last night. That pair of 312 boots was totally worth it...

For me yes. I've played every iron banner thus far. My personal experience this time was the most enjoyable and rewarding yet. Must of the matches were fairly close in points with the last kill deciding the match in quite a few of them. I did see red bars however the lag was way more reduced than the last one. Drops were good for me as well. 6 snipers 3 rocket launcher 10 helmets 5 boots 5 ghosts 319 boot 318 ghost 318 barons 318 hatchet Was way better than the last in for my personal playing time

3 RepliesOnly got 2 characters to rank 5 this week. Haakon's Hatchet at 310 and Colovance's Duty at 316. At first I was really happy, until I saw the rolls. Colovance's has both Icarus and Guerrilla Fighter, so I either fight in midair or behind cover. Thanks IB..

Depends how you see it, if you want the weapons or missing some of the gear as your collector then yeah sure or if you need to get your light up (like me) then yeah its worth it. Other then that though not so much. The drops have been rather inconsistent. Some games nothing would drop and then others would give the ships. Pretty mixed to be honest.

2 RepliesPlayed to rank 5 on all 3 and much much after and only got 1 sniper to drop with a garbage roll. My packages were crap 2x class items and a hatchet with a garbage roll. All the armor that's dropped for me has had a garbage roll besides for 2 helmets. I did get the ship tho I'm hoping a sniper will drop for me today with shortgaze would make the grind worth it

2 RepliesYes, to me. I enjoy Crucible and play it a ton anyway. The high light level potential makes it even more worthwhile. I haven't gotten the best rolls on items, and I haven't had a single Tormod drop for me thus far, but I still think it was worth it. Did get a 318 Ghost and a 313 Chest, so not horrible.

1 ReplyThe loot is hit and miss and you will get annoyed at the low drop rate (especially as you watch others claim the 320 ghosts). But if you play enough, there's a few hidden gems that'll make the grind worth it.
