Sniping someone as they revive in crucible and killing them with one shot when they have an over shield, bullshit on a whole new level....

A 2 second buff of no damage taken/no damage given on revives would work

1 ReplyMaybe when a sniper is hard scoping the enemy's ghost, the revive would give a temporary blindness in the scope. This would give a chance to the revive and if the sniper is skilled they can still get the shot.

Or, what you could do, and mind you it's just an idea, maybe you should not have your team mate revive you while someone is hard scoping your dead body? Seems to me like that would solve the problem.

He's got a point. The sniping in this game is too ez. A snipe kill should force a sniper to re-position to take out the rezzer (not rezee). The meta shifting blows anyways so who really the -blam!- cares? The fights are so linear anyways. Fights happening at the same spots with the same weapons.

I think the over shield is fine, it's really not terribly much more than your normal shield, but it should take more than a single headshot to kill, it should take your overs girls and normal shield, leaving you with full health

I was in the unfortunate situation where in crimson doubles I went down to a NLB and my teammate keep trying to revive me and every time he did I was popped with a stillpiercer. Is it frustrating? Yes. Am I going to cry on the forums that this needs to be stopped? No. I was being killed because my teammate in this situation wasn't trying to fix the situation and kept doing the same thing over and over. Revives have a time and place, communicate with your team.

One solution I see being mentioned often is adding temporary immunity when you spawn, but then that would give the advantage to whoever has just been respawned. I don't know how well this would go down, but what about spawning somewhere else? That would probably be the only real fair solution I can think of, but then again I'm not thinking about it too hard.

Then don't die. If your team can't adapt to a death and the only thing they can do is revive you with as enemy camping you with a sniper, then you deserve to stay dead. Seriously, its no different than if the enemy was on top of your ghost. And you wouldn't be bitching about not being able to revive your ally then right?
