This is how you make your community happy and show them that you care and appreciate them sticking with you.
Good communication, good response to an obvious problem, and a good result all with good timing.
I'd say Bungie has definitely stepped up their game lately. Kudos to them

Yep. Agreed. The quick timing is key here. Shows that they are actively listening to people's complaints and doing something about it.
-
Agreed, fellow faction brother
-
really? all you wanted was a 320 ghost to make you happy? the more i play this game, the less i am understanding about the community a ghost shell that does nothing different than the ones you already have, but maybe is a few points higher, DOES ALMOST NOTHING TO INCREASE YOUR DEFENSE OR DAMAGE OUTPUT. Why is this so important to people? WHYYYYYYYYYYYY!?!?!?!?!? lol. but seriously... when did we stop playing games for fun?
-
Actually...I don't care about the ghost shell and I don't care about max light. I don't grind this game because there's no point, no real benefit. I play because it's fun. The reason I care and I'm giving Bungie props is because they're addressing mistakes and communicating with the community and making efforts of good will. This is needed and its a step in the right direction.
-
For real
-
I hope you know they arm just raising the light level next month so the 320 ghost you are getting is pretty much worthless.
-
Because being max level really means a lot in this game right?
-
Edited by The New Monarch: 2/13/2016 4:04:43 AMI'm not concerned with reaching max level as there is almost no reason to So it's not the ghost I'm happy about, it's Bungies willingness to address an error and communicate quickly and clearly and make it up to the community.

well props to you for finding a positive way to spin this, but its pretty clear that the only reason they are doing this is because the population of Destiny has dwindled to a tiny fraction of what it was in September. And then they say: "we love you! here, have a ghost! just please play our event that we know is garbage so we can show some decent numbers to our investors at this week's earning calls with the publisher." its fine that Destiny is a business. i have nothing against them making crap loads of money. they built an awesome core to a game and i have never stopped playing it. but believing this ghost drop is about us and not them.... well thats naive.
-
And you seem to be taking an extremely negative look at this situation...I'm sorry this game has burned you that badly. I'll continue to "spin things positively"...surely these forums need it
-
no you misunderstood me. the game has never really burned me. are there things that i don't like? yes. are there things that i like? well obviously... i am still playing this game regularly. my point was this: everyone else feels burned by this game because of RNG. they prioritize loot drops over game play. they wont abstain from an activity if they dont like it. they will play it and then complain about the loot drops, but then "thank bungie for fixing the loot drops". if we prioritize loot drops over gameplay, we'll just get better loot drops. my comment was coming from the angle of "i dont care about loot drops... i care about gameplay" the ghost shell doesn't fool me.

Spring is April or May
-
Spring is late March but they can drop the update in April whenever my point still stands. Definitely won't be getting destiny two. Complete worthless grind and tired of being screwed. Gears four here I come.
