You nerfed nothing manacles. So there's an exotic piece of armor that provides tracking to a gernade. Other subclasses have nades that kill way faster and no exotic peice of armor is needed. That, and the tracking for the scatter gernades sucks. All you have to do is take 2 steps and the it won't track that far. The area for a void wall nade is like 8 ft and even the area for a vortex nade is larger than the scatter nade actually tracks. WTF did these get nerfed? They weren't even an issue. What's your goal? Just to make everything suck? No wonder these forums are so full of salt. Bungie made this game suck.

1 ReplyVoidfang is superior. They want u to understand this
-
2 RepliesIt's still overpowered. If you're complaining about it being nerfed, you either never used it and just assume it's terrible now or you're bad as a voidwalker.
-
I opened an exotic gauntlet engram on my warlock, desperate for the Impossible Machines, but... Nothing Manacles. I don't think I've even used one of those grenades, ever.
-
The only reason they killed so much was pre-nade dmg (gunfire melee etc) but they focused on what KILLED your opponet...thus...nade nerf...
-
I agree. I throw the scatter and hit them and they don't die.
-
3 RepliesLast time I used them in Trials I got a triple kill with one grenade.
-
Try hitting them with the grenade , not being salty just saying http://youtu.be/CmAAqu_YOzk Or http://youtu.be/CfYpUFSJo7k But in fatness I very much agree with what your saying , the tracking has little to no effect only reason to use Nothing Manicles is to have two grenades at the start of the game
-
I didn't get it either. You nearly had to actually hit them with the grenade to make all the little capsules kill the person as the AOE for it was awful. Not only that but if there was more than one person they would each track whoever they were closer to so you would do nothing more than damage two people and not kill them because there wasn't enough damage done to each since it split it among the two.
-
I thought the same thing and gave up the Manacles after a few games. The tracking was inconsistent and had no range. Walk strafing to either side rendered them almost useless. These are not the same gauntlets they used to be.
-
3 RepliesThey ruined the 4 shot Hunter helm too. :/
-
Really? But it gives two nades and still increases tracking a little. Now it just takes a precise throw for them to work. Granted they were beyond awesome prenerf but now they aren't bad, just different.
-
2 RepliesThey were Nerfed because people complained and thought it was unfair. Stupid I know, right!?
-
Yes the tracking sucks so bad now that nothing Manacles waste an exotic slot.
-
I was trying to use manacles last night... It went poorly. It felt like they tracked nothing and did very little damage no matter how or where I tried to throw the scatter grenade. I'll be sticking with the Ram and Voidfang for my Voidwalker.
-
7 RepliesOk, Nothing Manacles were kinda ridiculous in year 1. Did they NEED to change them? Not really, but I see why they did. Did they change them too much? Yes. Scatter grenades aren't good by default, Nothing Manacles in year 1 made them ridiculously good. There's a reason I used Nothing Manacles over The Ram or Voidfang back then.
-
Yeah it was my favorite exotic... I was so excited to see it coming to year two...not anymOre
-
Randomly bounces now too
-
The grenades don't even track half the time now.
-
They always track me..when I -blam!- up and throw them at a wall they always kill me but never anyone else when I throw it at them
-
Yeah I run the nothing manacles with bloom and there's a big difference in how effective they are in year two. Definitely should be brought back up.
-
2 RepliesBungie nerfed the scatter grenade back in year 1. The scatter grenades used to be really good. All void walker grenades need a buff. IMO.
-
I actually agree with you. And i generally hate complainers. I never had these in year 1, but heard about how great they were. Got them in year 2 and they don't seem to do anything to the scatter grenade. You basically have to land it directly at a guys feet to get it to track and hit. That's if they don't move to get out of the way when they see it coming, as most people do. I don't expect them to follow someone like an axion bolt, but a little bit of reasonable tracking would be nice for using up my exotic slot.
-
Yes, they were nerfed - not sure when, but I recall them being in patch notes. Maybe 2.0? Not sure...
-
4 RepliesDon't be such a bitch
-
It says it adds tracking but if you watch it when your use it enemies can stand at the epicenter of your grenade and it literally won't track them. In crucible there's about a 50% chance(made up) that it will kill a guardian of you throw it under their body. If it didn't add two grenades it would be the worst exotic hands down
