Just accept it, Destiny is dead.
Yep, we've all heard it before. There have always been people saying "destiny is dying", or, "this game is better".
But now let's look at that statement again, if the game was still alive and well many day one players would still be playing regularly and still enjoying it. But that isn't the case, the game isn't fun after you've hit 40 and done the same raid over and over and over.
My entire friends list was comprised of all destiny players that I've come across over the last 2 years. They used to all be on, everyday.
Now? I'm lucky to see one person on destiny every other day
Really, the only thing that kept destiny thriving in year one was the steady pace of new content coming in every 3 or so months. That isn't the case now. We get all this half-assed "events" as our DLC. And as stated before by Bungie, they have no expansions or raids planned for this year.
Destiny was a great game while it lasted, I've made many friends and had many laughs. But it's time is over. We can only hope that bungie learns from this in destiny 2.

If I can go to the forums, drop a short message that says "fresh run hard mode, golgoroth challenge", and 4 people reply to it before it gets buried by others posting on the same thread, destiny isn't dead. You don't know a damn thing about what you're talking about, that's for sure.

Bungie took away the relevance of the old raids. Sure other games did that... but Destiny didnt have to that's what the players are saying.

There's going to be dry periods inbetween content and stuff. Just because we are in a content drought doesn't mean the game is dead ok? People said this before TDB, when TDBs content was sucked up, they said it again, same with after HOW, and now after TTK Game dead? No Content drought? Yes Nothing you need to do in destiny? Then play something else. When there's more content. People will come back and check it out. This is the same with WOW to an extent. And is a pretty common thing with any game. So chill BADA Bing BADA boom

A lot of people just enjoy the game, the forums make up a very small part of the comunnity. I really like the game and have had a blast, but this is the end for me. Has nothing to do with the actually game play just the people in charge.

3 RepliesWell, actually the numbers are rising again. Call of Duty is getting repetitive, Fallout everyone has already beaten, Rainbow 6 is amazing, but the servers are so bad its hard to play. People are starting to come back.

Someone mentioned that High Moon Studios is helping Bungie out with Destiny. If you check out their website (High Moon), you can see that this is indeed true. They're also hiring. I'm not sure if this is for the sequel or for additional content for Destiny 1.

Know what else is dead? Gta, last of us, mass effect series, dragon age series, the final fantasys, all the games you played as a child. So many dead games.

I have about 200 people on my friends list on PlayStation and even more on Xbox & majority of that was destiny. On a daily basis I'll log into both and there is about 10 people on Xbox that play it daily still and less on PlayStation and majority of these people are people I found on the forums.
