It is dying if a dlc comes out this year and they charge people for it, i've finished with game, and i know friends who will leave to. I hate the game, i'm only staying to help friends. One friend went in crucible with a 5 damage primary and got 10 kills that's how fcked up this game is. Then we've got lag switchers and people with modded controls cheating fckers.

But srsly I definitely agree with you, every game starts losing its playerbase as the game gets older but there are no signs of Destiny dying and I don't see why anyone would say that with nothing to back that up with. Destiny is still one of the more popular games on twitch for instance. And that's pretty darn good for a 1 and a half year old console game.

Destiny is flawed, yes. But it's a game that has also generated a very negative atmosphere from a set of poor decisions, and it's that atmosphere that is poisoning the mentality of a large portion of gamers. Despite its flaws, I love destiny. I play it casually but I've had the good luck to have a pretty solid build, or at least one solid enough that I can get through pvp and pve with just the right amount of challenge. I came in around TTK so a lot of the year 1 drama is lost on me so I have the latitude to see the state of the game as-is, rather than an amalgamation of its entire cycle.q That being said, and as has been said, if you think Destiny is dying, go busy yourself elsewhere. If you think it's dead, stop haunting the forums. I say this because then 1 of 2 things will happen: the game will actually die, or you'll eventually come back. If the game dies, so what. You're invested elsewhere, right? If the game revives, then you'll get to enjoy it with a refreshed perspective. The problem here isn't so black and white as to being the developers fault. It's the people in the community who either want to troll people like me, who are so disappointed they're taking their anger out on everyone, or who want to believe against belief the game isn't dead but are too afraid to get their hopes up. And all this was triggered by a series of mis-steps by the developer. At the end of the day, it's a conversation between consumer and producer. It's up to the producer to create a product worth keeping, and the consumer to decide if there is value enough for their money. Any and everything else is purely emotion-based opinion. Because no one is force to be here, it's all opt-in. So please, if anyone feels like saying the game is dead/dying, or otherwise wants to troll, understand that your time is being wasted. If you truly want to prove a point, end the conversation. That's your true power in this. And the people that want to keep in touch with Bungie will continue to consume their product. (Mixed metaphors there at the end but I think it worked...) Either way, everyone on this forum is free to contribute to the zeitgeist as they see fit. But they'll only get what they put in...

Considering the the registered accounts is 26 million and only 250k active player, I'd say it's dying. I'm just waiting for Divisions and I've been playing a lot of Warframe and Fallout.

I lagged out of trials for the last time last week Snapped my disk in half . -blam!- Destiny House of wolves was so much better than this and took no content away from the game . The rng ,ppl sucking ass in the easy hardmode (i blame bungie), lagg banner ,lagg trials got me really salty i ended getting pissed at this game that i enjoyed so much before . The gane engine is broken and last gen hold this game back from improvement All my friend left the game .
