Hate breeds more hate. And that's on both sides. 1)One side goes in to avenge an atrocity committed by the other, and kills a young kids father (who was fighting against the aforementioned side). 2)He in turn grows up hating them, commits an atrocity and we're back at step one. There's really only 2 ways to stop the cycle. The first is for everyone to realize and want this to stop. Which given humanities history isn't likely. OR annihilate the other side, which has been attempted or done throughout history. Sadly, it's in our nature.
