Female Gamers and their fear of dudes.
So I recently did the raid with a female gamer... And every word out of her mouth had " boyfriend " attached to it.
"My boyfriend does the raid every time my boyfriend isn't boyfriending like a true boyfriend! Oh!!! Here's my boyfriend now! Boyfriend boyfriend boyfriend."
Why is it that i, a respectful and honestly nice guy (unless I'm doing some competitive snizz) have to be treated like a common "are you boobies big!?!" Weirdo?

Never ran Into this but I play with adults exclusively. Maybe you should try to find a more mature group to play with and when looking for randies make sure to say adults only. I have a handful of female gamer friends and their biggest issue has been being mistaken for squeakers lol

23 RepliesYou, my friend, are using the "Not all men" argument. It basically goes, "not all men are like this! I'm not! Don't treat me the same!" Unfortunately, that's not how it works. For a female gamer, you can imagine male gamers like a bowl of Skittles. Now imagine 70% of those Skittles are poisoned. Would you eat a Skittle? That's why your argument doesn't work. In that analogy, the poisoned Skittles represent the male gamers who are dicks to female gamers, while the remaining 30% are nice. The female gamer has no way of knowing who's a dick and who's not, so the only option is to treat you as the majority until she can tell you're not. It's unfair, but it's necessary.

I think it was more that she was affaid to be mistreated by the fireteam. She just wanted to make it aware that her boyfriend was there to back her up if things got ugly. I personally sometimes have to call upon my boyfriend to set things straight so, she may have had a bad encounter before and is just trying to avoid that.

"gamur girlzz cx" If you get carried in Trials by two sweaty virgins who aren't gonna score regardless and you can't hold a plate in the Raid without [excuse], and if you need to somehow assert your feminism in some way shape or form to me and act like you're superior because you're a different gender, then please leave my game. Oh, another thing, if you have to add "Ms" or "Miss" or "Mrs" to your gamertag for whatever reason, see above. Why is it so hard to find normal girls who just want to play the game instead of trying to be a tease 100% of the time? I don't get it. I'm here to play the game, not try and impress a girl I don't know from somewhere I don't know so I can score. I just..-- no. making this post reminded me of a girl I saw on LFG who put in her post "A goddess among guardians" and of course I got salty about that, but this is another story for another day

48 RepliesWhy? About 80% of the male population in the gaming community assumes every girl is single. I can't deal with random teams because there's always at least one that gets overly excited when they hear my voice. They either relentlessly try to hit on you, try to subtly flirt, or , my personal FAVORITE, act like a "white knight" and try to protect/tell me wtf I can/can't or should/shouldn't do. Not ONLY is it uncomfortable, it's irritating as hell when I'm trying to focus on the game. It's made me incredibly mic shy. Though it HAS gotten better, the damage has been done. Now, I'm not against all guys, don't get me wrong there. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. But I need to have someone I know with me if I'm gonna be around randoms, to help buffer the situation. The fact that she kept mentioning her boyfriend doesn't mean jack, either. She could have been trying to avoid those uncomfortable situations by making it known. I wasn't there, but it seems asinine to assume she was treating you like a weirdo just because she was talking so much about him. Maybe he's really the only one she's played with, or its the only thing she was comfortable talking about. Females are strange creatures. I doubt she was treating you like a weirdo on purpose, but who knows. Maybe she was trying to be a witch and rub it in your face. tl;dr Guys before you have ruined expectations and made girls really concerned about groups of unknown guys.

If you didn't say anything creepy like hey where do you live, or hey what's your real name then I would just say she's just an ignorant bitch lol. Maybe she was just excited about a new bf. It's not as bad as squeaker getting a handy for the first time. Did CE raid awhile back with this kid that would not stfu about popping his cherry. Like so bad we all agreed to kick him. Worst part was we weren't even past the bridge.
