I think there main problem with it is the fact it is far to easy its no harder then doing a standard hard mode run people thought challange mode was gonna really test them and be super hard so its a big let down if thats what you where expecting. There needs to be something for the groups that find the content to easy otherwise it becomes boring.

1 ReplyMay I remind people of skolas first week solar burn took 10secs to beat him with galleys then dismantle mines with no adds there 2nd week arc to this day probally the hardest thing in Destiny I've done every add threw arc at you mines made u so suspecatable to attacks they really throw a curveball with that and beating it felt like an accomplishment a lot of people I'd talked to hadn't most of them

As much as the loot was great. I don't believe a challenge should be something you can just stumble upon. Due to the RnG of which plate will be stepped on last, you can end up 2 phasing the boss, having unique, final plate holders and complete the challenge without even knowing a challenge was put in place. Challenge mode should have been something that really makes you do the encounter differently, not just slightly different pending on circumstances. I view the Warpriest Challenge a failed attempt at this. Hopefully other bosses will be more unique.

What no one seems to realize is that if they made the first challenge mode to difficult people would complain and bitch about it being to hard and that it's unfair because they can't get the drops, hell there are people to this day that think kings fall is too hard and all the horrible loot drop complaints. And they would end up nerfing the challenge modes to somthing similar to what we have now anyway. This community bitches if it's to hard and bitches if it's to easy.

I think the term 'Famous Youtuber' is an oxymoron that hardly describes the status of the 'youtubers' that dedicate their time to Destiny. I think 'destiholics' is a more accurate description. Destiny enthusiast? Radical Destinites?

1 ReplyBungie nailed the rewards, but -blam!-ed up the "challenge". They should have added a new mechanic or something that forces players to switch strategies from a normal run. Really almost anything different than what they did would have been better.

I do like how it gives amazing loot but they made it too easy. I would of loved a good challenge. The first time I did it was with and lfg group and we beat it in under 10 minutes, with no wipes.

Until we know what all the different challenges are, its too soon to say. This week's challenge was pretty easy. Next week may be hell.

2 RepliesThe challenge mode is perfectly fine. It is impossible to pleasure people who play a game because it is their job. Doing something extra, or different, which gives extra loot. Thats perfectly fine for me, and many others who just play Destiny for fun and not milk it like a cow by being greedy and wanting more and more. Bungie stated way before that nothing will be added in the fights, it only might need you to change strategy. LetMs see next week on Golgoroth, how many 1 orb users will be having troubles just because they have to do 6.

This is only the first challenge, On the first boss of the raid. I believe this particular one was almost meant to be a rng counter. I know it's disappointing to the hard cores , but just be patient and wait to see what the other challenges are. In the meantime , take this as a Loot win .

Gothalion doesn't hate it, he compares it to trials. We can't base all of challenge off week one. Like trials it may start easy and get harder as you move forward. I think everyone needed that easy run, get an extra light level or two and get loot that doesn't heavily depend on rng
