I've been playing strictly warlocks since the Alpha. They're all I know, all I care to love. I know my Warlock inside and out.I love my warlock like a mother loves an ugly child. Even when the popular kids are out having friends, I still spend all my time with my ugly little Warlock.
My complaint today is that Bungie is the Father to my mother to my ugly little Warlock. Bungie is that drunken asshole of a father who ignores the runt in favor of the the other two. He gives them cool shit and praises them constantly, making sure they have a role to play and pushes them to the frontlines of that role. It's only when he's not buried in a mountain of booze bottles that he remembers "Oh yeah... I have a third child... I should probably put just enough effort into him to make sure cps doesn't get called."
Raid-wise, titans have bubbles. this is an essential and crucial TEAM BENEFIT that helps the whole team. Hunters can turn team mates invisible and apply some serious dps buffs with their supers. TEAM BENEFITS. These classes are raid essentials and everything they do helps the raid along.
Then we have Warlocks. Never have I heard "Bring your Warlock, we need him to get past this one part". It's just "What class are you?" I'm a warlock. "Oh... okay." as if to say, whatever, at least you can make the pew pew.
Our single redeeming factor that is EVER mentioned is that "Even when we suck, we suck less because we come back to life to suck again." We have a gimp super that rarely comes into play and shouldn't even be something considered for raid effectiveness. Having resurrection as a super power in the raid is no different than having the super power to grow your hair at will when your teammates are flying around and lifting things 60 times their body weight.
PAY ATTENTION TO US GOD DAMMIT.I WANT TO FEEL SPECIAL TOO.
Give us raids that literally force the entire team to die, depending on that resurrection. Give us raids that cluster so many arc shielded enemies into one god damn bunch that Stormcaller becomes a sought after mechanic.DESIGN AFTER OUR CLASSES ABILITIES AND ELEMENTS. The only raid mechanics you have ever used thus far are "Shoot these things and then follow up by shooting THOSE things and jump on shit for 10 minutes. Every mechanic is about dumping physical ammo into physical shit. Make classes and elements matter, like they should. Make a raid be more than an hour long michael bay film, full on action, bullets, and explosions, but lacking any form of substance.
It doesnt feel like you guys put much effort into the creation of these things... I mean shit, not to say all hunters have problems with the Hive Airport Terminal in the Taken King raid but its so bad that you guys had to allow everyone to buy an item that would make it easier for them to get through it because you didnt put much effort into the process of making sure shit works for certain classes.
I mean, where's the shit like "Oh hey, maybe like, we, guys listen, maybe there's like this, this machine. this machine guys. And like, warlocks have to shock it. they have to shock it to turn it on, and then like... and then like hunters, they have to like golden gun a gas valve to make it work right? and then, and then like maybe, just maybe. guys... just maybe a titan has to like... has to like slam a pad on the floor to activate the machine. To like make it, make it hurt the boss, or some shit. guys. Come on guys.
-blam!-ing use our abilities for fun, creative, imaginative shit. don't just turn us into walking ammo shitting factories, littering the galaxy with empty cartridges and corpses while jumping from one precarious ledge to the next. Yes, that's important, but there's more to life than pew pew and parkour, (pewkour). If I went to college to be a god damn graphic designer, I WANT TO BE A GRAPHIC DESIGNER. the same is for the class I'm playing. Sure I can shit lightning, -blam!-ing hover around like a god, and summon miniature lightning storms but what does that matter when I have a hunk of metal in my hands that shoots smaller hunks of metal and makes super neato noises, am I right? PEWPEWPEWPEWPEW.
But to digress to my original point, I'm tired of being the backseat class. the one no one prefers because I bring nothing to the table other than a life vest for when the plane explodes over the atlantic and I'm the only survivor alive to help drag the corpses out of the wreckage on the off chance I manage to swim 400 miles to shore and survive the shark attacks along the way. "I told you guys. I told you so -blam!-ing hard."

Butthurt, we summon thee!! Warlocks were more or less sought after for crota's end. We needed sunsingers to cheese the bridge part, and to create orbs right before crota.

This is the most depressing post I've ever read. I main a warlock. In the Kings Fall Raid; I get the Aura for wapriest, I take the gaze at golgoroth, i can run the relic at Oryx. And I can do this faster and better than every titan and hunter I've come across. No ones jump is better, it's just which jump you prefer (and i prefer warlocks: more airtime and distance and control) . We have the best grenades and melees. I always have self-res on but I usually don't have to use it because I'm not a scrub that's always dying. Warlocks don't suck. You just suck. Git gud and stop making our class look bad k thanks.

What the hell is this post? A bunch of incoherent rambling by some guy who thinks warlocks aren't awesome, yet only uses a warlock. I love having warlocks on my team, all three subclasses are great.
-
I love having a self resing lock on my team for anything
-
Yeah I'm a titan and i always felt bad for warlocks...
-
Go watch the runner up to MotW, come back, and try again.
-
I main a warlock and I don't see how I could be considered inferior. Maybe you should just learn how to use your subclass effectively, and then you will see that Warlocks are just as important as any other class.
-
As a warlock i take pride in getting into groups based off my skill. I make da pew pews reallll good
-
One thing to say to you, my friend:
self res crutch
There is a reason we have 3 character slots to use alongside of 3 unique classes
-
I've found storm caller to be EXTREMELY useful for Gologorth. I have to play with randoms a lot and I can tell ya that no one wants to kill the damn thralls. So, yours truly does crowd control.

1 ReplyI think someone missed the vid of two warlocks completing oryx without a team, using their self Rez each round! No other class can presently do this, still feel left out?
-
1 ReplyHow about Song of Flame?
-
What's even dumber is that we have the shittiest jump. We're not even useful in that sense.
-
Warlocks had some of the best exotics in year 1
-
2 RepliesAnd give us exotic boots....

5 RepliesEdited by sargetc: 10/25/2015 5:07:37 PMuse your OP melee to deal with the adds, we Titans will manage the big guy. Don't forget to rezz the Hunter every now and then. Seriously though, the Hunter was the only class to not have a solid place in the fireteam prior to TTK. You got nothing to worry about. Get your Tlaloc, and do your thing. Keep the party safe. Or roll a Sunbreaker if you want more glory, but if you think Warlocks aren't special, I think you are thinking about it all wrong. Edit: I think my comments on Hunters might have come across wrong.. it was all in good fun, I have a Hunter alt.. I know the tools they bring to the party. I was more being a typical Titan meathead. no hate intended at all. Sorry if that came across wrong.

Warlocks were babied for Year One. Hunters were PvP, Titans were PvE, Warlocks were in the middle (if you took the player out of the equation and just looked at each super, they were tilted in effectiveness for different things). Now Titans and Hunters get supers that tailor to the opposite extreme side of the spectrum (Hunters PvE and Titans PvP) and warlocks get another great class with the potential for both. Not flashy enough, huh? It just doesn't seem like the biggest change compared to the other supers since you guys have less of a gap between PvP and PvE)

1 ReplyYeah it's about time Sunsinger became a real supportive subclass
-
I would suggest that warlocks be able to use radiance either for themselves or consume it to res an ally on the fly. This would be awesome for hard mode raids when a Titan or hunter dies the warlock could use that ability to super next to them and bring them from the grave.

I is a TadPaul

1 ReplyThey dont want to force any subclass. They arent against making one more optimal for a situation, but not give the player no choice.
-
Dude. We can ressurect from the dead even if you cant be revived
-
If they ever make a raid that requires a team wipe with a self res warlock to save the group, it would literally be unplayable the moment hard mode came out. Only 6 warlocks could complete it. Also, as far as being backseat class, you obviously didn't play hunter when Vault of Glass was the only raid. Had to beg to get into groups even though you could easily wipe 4 oracles every Atheon cycle in one shot.

No man just no. My clans kings fall runs would be trash without my stormlocks to clear adds.
