EXOTICS WILL TURN 310 always if:
If all your characters are above 300 every exotic will turn 310.
Example:
Titan 300
Hunter 300
Warlock 300
= exotic:310
Titan 300
Hunter300
Warlock 260+
= exotic (310 if Titan or hunter item/ 290 if warlock item).
It doesn't matter with what character you decript the engram, as long as you are above 300 (with all 3) every item will become 310.
If your Titan 300 decripts an exotic and gets a warlock armour pice: if warlock is light 300+ it will become 310, if warlock is light 260+ engram will become 290...
So it isn't random, they game knows the light lv of your characters u.u

I have all my exotics at 310 now (missing only telesto). So unless I'm the most lucky person in the planet, I'm not wrong.

Yeah decrypted an exotic chest engram on 302 titan my hunter is 300+ get crest of alpha lupi at 290. So you must be really lucky.

Funny with my warlock under 300 I have decrypted 310 warlock armor on my hunter lol so tell me again how if they are under 300 it goes to 290?

When everyone is over 300 it's is a much higher chance like 1/3 or something cuz I have all over 300 and still get 290

I've turned it a lot of engrams as 308 only on my main character, they always turn out 310, so this isn't true. My other ones are at around 290

False. Thought it was false from the getgo, but wasn't entirely sure all three of my characters were 300+ last time I decrypted. So I just tried it. Made all three characters 300+, exotic engram from xur, 290 hunter arms. MYTH BUSTED

Wrong. I decrypted a legendary engram on my 300+ titan and dropped a 310 chest piece for a 290ish warlock (300 now when i swap my weapons)....

Not true, got a 310 stag from a legendary gram. Sure my warlock is over 300+, but my other character aren't.

It's not a 100% chance, and 2 out of 3 are under 300 light and I get tons of 310 exotics, and by tons I mean 3.
