Okay so most of us know that Year 1 Nightfalls were more challenging and gave us decent rewards alongside the Radiant Light buff which was the main purpose of actually doing the Nightfall. In return for this reward, the Nightfall would have the "Nightfall" modifier which would kick you into orbit if your Fireteam dies all at once, instead of the usual respawn. In Year 2, Nightfalls can give some decent rewards, but also some pretty bad ones right? Now yes it has always worked like this right? Well not necessarily. If you got a bad reward it shouldn't matter because you have Radiant Light now. It makes up for it. The rewards are just a plus. Now wait.. You're telling me I can do the Nightfall which requires 280 light. And I can get armor or weapons with lower values than the level of the Nightfall itself? Well that can't be that bad I mean, after all you still get Radiant Light don't you? Nope. No Radiant Light. If you do the Nightfall or Shaxx's weekly bounties, you get jack for that week sometimes. Now I believe they took the Nightfall modifier away, because of the fact that they know the rewards are worse. In return, the Nightfall isn't as hard because you may die and not lose tour progress. I believe a Nightfall, should have the modifier made and named after itself every week. The Nightfall modifier should return, and in exchange we get better rewards. Here's some possible ways we could change it, I'll edit more in as I get comments: 1.) After Nightfall & Shaxx Bounties are done, you get Radiant Light once again. Nightfall modifier gets a return every week to up the challenge & in return, higher valued rewards are given. 2.) Same as 1. But Nightfall grants 1/2 of the Radiant Light buff, where Shaxx will give you the other half. 3.) No Radiant Light buff, possibly add the Nightfall modifier but make all items that drop 295+ 4.) Just drop better rewards in general and change nothing. 5.) Drop higher valued rewards, Vanguard/Faction reputation & 25 Legendary Marks and add Nightfall modifier back.
