"Huh." Caleb wondered aloud. "What you patrolling around here for?"

"Trying to clean up what's left of the House of Stone. Heard you needed a sniper?" The guardian pulls out a Patience and Time. "I got your back."

Caleb didn't know this guardian, but figured it was his best shot at taking out the Fallen. "Ok." Caleb said. He rose to his feet, doned his Helm of Saint-14, and headed out of the cave.

"I was originally Bomb Squad before I was a guardian. Explains the arm, I guess." Ax opens fire on a Fallen Captain that had picked up Caleb's scent. "Watch for my dog, he's approaching your position."

"Roger. Keep my 6 covered. Checking first position.....nothing here." Caleb crept forward slightly before saying ,"Bomb Squad, really? That's interesting."

"Yup." Another shot, another downed Vandal. "I was disarming an RDX bomb when it was triggered, and I ran away from my squad with it tucked under my arm." Dew arrives at Caleb's position with a soft "woof," and nudges him in the arm.

Caleb gently pets him, before slowly moving up and checking the cache. "No luck," he murmured. He crept out of the cache, and asked ,"How'd you get into that business?"

"Exiled from my unit. Called insubordinate after disobeying orders in order to save a couple hostages." The dog senses something. "Whoawhoawhoa... You seein' this?" Caleb's minimap suddenly fills entirely.

A tank falls from the sky, almost crushing Caleb. Ax whips out his slap rifle, lifts into the air, and lands in front of Caleb. "Do all you want, I can TANK it!" He throws up a Ward of Dawn. "Let's dance!"

Caleb nods, grits his teeth, and rushed past Axel, obliterating one of the Tank's legs with his trusty Conspiracy Theory

The tank fires, only for its shot to be met midair with Ax's rocket. He jumps onto the tank and is about to send it six feet under when he's grabbed by a tank arm. Heyyyy Caleb... Little help?"

"Thanks. In hot!" he replies as he grabs his Suros RL and dives underneath the tank. 2 seconds later, BOOM. Tank goes bye bye. Ajax comes out from underneath. "Y'know, we make a good team."

Caleb dusted himself off. "Yeah, I suppose we do. Where did ya get moves like that? Doesn't seem like the Vanguard trained you."

"Nope. Martial Arts and combat training. Oorah boy!" he yells as he blasts the head off of a tank. "Wait, what's this?" Ajax holds up an ancient looking laser rifle.

Caleb nodded. "That's Zavala's lost relic. Been looking for it for weeks." Caleb gratefully took the relic from Ajax's hand. Caleb gave another slight nod towards Ajax. "I guess that's one I owe ya. Thanks a bunch."

"You owe me nothing. Just happy to help. Now come on. Let's bring Zavala his toy." He summons his ghost. "Ghost, 2 to beam up."

Caleb gratefully went with Ajax, and soon they had returned back to Zavala. Caleb handed the relic across the table to Zavala. "Got it, but couldn't have donemuch without yhis guy." Caleb jerked his head towards Ajax.

"Hey, don't give me all the credit," says Ax. "I would've been toast if it weren't for Caleb. "I have an idea, Titans." says Zavala. "You two could be partners." "Sounds good to me," replies Ax.

Caleb grinned underneath his helmet. "I don't know if I can put up with him that long, sir." Zavala let out a heartt chuckle.

"So... Is that a something?"

Caleb looked at Ajax and laughed. "Of course it is. As Shaxx would put it, you can fight on my side anytime!"

"Yeah! Les do dis!" Dew runs up to Caleb and sits at his feet, wagging his tail happily. "That makes three of us. So what now, Zavala? Any new jobs for the vanguard?"
