How unfair the first part of the 'Jolly Holliday' quest is
Ok, so I have been trying to do the first part of this quest for 3 days and I cannot get past 30% ... I did some math and found out that one kill = 1% headshot = 2% and death = -2%. So you need at least a 2:0 KD however you have to survive snipers, shotguns , supers, campers, rocket launchers/machine guns/Swords and grenades/melee abilities... So atleast make it either you get more percentages for kills and death will reset progress. I do know it rewards a exotic shotgun the Chaperone, but the chances of you getting past this are slim. I have only ever seen one player so far with it... EDIT: Assists are a pain in the ass 3/4 of my kills are stolen

You're representing tex mechanics, prove that you can hang or you aren't deserving of the chaperone. I did it fairly easy, your special and heavy kills count when you have tlw equipped. Play smart and get a streak going for bonus % on your bounty

4 RepliesI'll be getting my Chaperone on Wednesday when I get home from a trip. It's very hard to do the TLW part especially when you have a strict NAT type at school like I did but playing conservative is key to building and it maintaining percentage. I had a 2-3 game streak of getting or losing 1 percent and then I had one incredible game that brought me to 99% from 62% and I just took my time next game getting the last few kills. Having a team that is winning also helps give more percentage.

I wouldn't call it unfair, but rather very challenging. I am terds at PvP so it makes it extra challenging.

Did it in 3 games. Looks like you are not skilled enough to get this weapon (no offense) but there are plenty of exotics that you can still get. Exotics are not just handed to everyone in TTK, there are a few that you actually have to work for (though most are still RNG)

Pffft did it in 6 games, you do know you only have to equip the tlw right? All kills count towards it and medals boost it even faster

I'm at 74% atm with Bladedancer. Great subclass for the quest, considering you can easily get a triple down to a breaker with 1 super. Breaker nets you a SHIT ton of points

Bad juju, get your super, switch back to last word, get kills switch back to bad juju. Do the same for heavy and for when you're about to win and you'll get it done in no time.

I've done it on all 3 characters. Usually takes like 5 matches. It doesn't seem to count kills correctly. Got a 5 kill streak and went from 0% to 26%. Doesn't make any sense, but every time I've gotten a streak I got a huge boost.

5 RepliesThorn bounty sucked back in the day. Did it as a hunter when there wasn't a void primary. A crazy void shotty and heavy machine gun helped me out. I switched play style to be more campy and stuck to a high traffic route with good cover. Pick players off as they come through. Should help you with this quest.

Finished in half a dozen or so matches...go badass when u super, snipe like a boss, run away even if you took only a nuts tickle worth or damage

3 RepliesI'm on the armsday step, so I'll have it on Wednesday. I'm not awesome at crucible but I was able to do it. Give it time, change your play style, obviously it's not working the way you are going. Remember you don't have to kill with it, just have it equipped. Asking for it to be changed because you can't do it is rather selfish though. Keep at it, best of luck.

2 RepliesSprees, wins and headshots. That's what you want to go for. Be a bastard and steal kills. Be sly and flank your enemy. Be patient and camp. It's not exactly fun, but it'll work. I'd advice going in Skirmish. 3v3 seemed easier to get kills in. Less chaos, less random fire, less activity. Stick with your team and be [u]patient[/u].

Did it on clash this morning in 4 games. You don't have to get all the kills with the last word, kill one person with it. Then whip out a super or shotty n mess people up. Repeat previous step... To reduce the amount of deaths you suffer make sure you stay with the group in your team... Dnt run off alone, much less likely to get one shotted across a map

Medals contribute quite a bit l. I nailed a 10 kill streak and it went up like 40-50%. Classic playlists are good if you're not making much progress in the normal ones

2 RepliesTry the regular legacy crucible. Players are not so skilled there plus you know the maps. Lastly okay safe and cheese if you have to.

You don't have to use it just have it equipped and using supers helps out a lot when I figured it out I beat mine in 3 games using Titan smash shot guns and heavy machine guns
