12 three of coins, 3 engrams... So it's working for me.

The video shows it works the method is in the description. 10 exotic engrams so far and counting (plus some legendary).
Edit4:
When you get 2/3 exotic engrams go to the tower and decript them, then go back to the strike, make sure you have free slots in your guardian (weapons/armour slots).

1 ReplyThree of coins rip off ,vanguard strike loot drops , wtf used 15 three of coins today one at a time doing 15 strikes what did I get 2 legal day engrams,and a bunch of cap blues can't infuse cause they such low lite level !!!,.....I ran strikes for over 10 hours yesterday didn't get one strike specific loot at all, lucky if I get a legendary after 5 to 10 runs, I have run the last 2 nightfall what did I get both weeks strange coins,screw these loot drops ,think world of war craft calling my name and the trash can calling for destiny

I'm getting really annoyed, because i bought 15 3 of coins from xur and got 2 exotic engrams.

This duplicate thing is really making me mad, I got a 4th horseman out a a legendary then the next day got it out of an exotic that took 12 coins to get. Come on Bungie! I just want something don't already have it could be the worst exotic, I just want to collect.

Tried the strikes method yesterday and added a couple of draksis kills as well as some heroic story bosses. Nothing to show for it except awkward consumable uses before boss fights in strikes...."hold on guys, stop shooting me so I can hide in a corner and eat this coin". Ok cool I ate my coin - now I can shoot you so you can fill me with disappointment.

4 RepliesI've ran several strikes with 3 of coins... Maybe 15 strikes using 1 "3 of coins" and got 1 exotic. I've also ran probably 15 draksis missions using only 1 "3 of coins" and received 6-7 exotics. Maybe the draksis run has an unintentional higher drop chance? Could be luck of the draw I suppose....

-Must pop one after 5 minutes? -If you have an active "3 of coins" and you defeat an ultra you must wait at least 5 minutes before popping another one? -If you use a "3 of coins" right after defeating an ultra will it not work?

I just used 10 and only got 1 Engram. I even let the boss kill me 5 times before each trade off.

Just went home for lunch, did one heroic strike and got a fourth one. All in all today, 6 ToC's and four engrams. I personally don't think they did anything. Just trying to scare people into not farming so quickly. Edit: for spelling

1 ReplyI have used around 20 today. Some on strikes some on heroic story mission and some in patrol on champions. I have had 4 exotic engrams drop. The problem is they are all duplicates from last week. I got 2 specials which turned into telesto and 4th horsey. Got a helmet that turned into another mask of the third man and an arm that turned into ahamkara spine. Only getting duplicates. The RNG has had its drops increased but I'm not buying the thing about it giving you what you need. I have gotten 3 of the same crucible scouts and hand cannons as well 4 crucible lmgs and 3 crucible rocket launchers all on the same character in the past 2 days.
