MIDA WILL BECOME THE NEW THORN WHEN TTK DROPS?
Well at least i think it will, at the moment it is a decent weapon and you can have fun with it. With all scout riffles having a 5% damage boost makes mida op in my mind, however this might not happen. Maybe just maybe one gun we havent heard about will rule the crucible. If not here are some honorable mentions vision of confluence and the iron banner scout riffle ( sorry i had a brain fart :3). Tell me what weapons you think will rise above others in the crucible

1 ReplyScout rifles won't do more damage in crucible! Everyone thinks that but go read the update! It clearly states "will not affect time to kill in crucible"

The damage buff isn't changing the time to kill

The damage boost won't improve the Mida's time to kill, it will make the numbers look slightly different. If you look at Thunderlord that is a 4 body kill and a 4 shot precision kill as it does 55 body and 63 head, it will work like that so say it does 30 to the head at the moment (it doesn't but just for arguments sake just imagine, if you don't have an imagination... Pretend) then it would do anywhere between 31 to 34 precision.

3 RepliesThe 5% damage buff is PvE only. Scouts do get a small base damage increase in PvP, but not significant enough to kill full health guardians faster than before.

The damage boost wont affect the amount of headshots it takes to kill.

I really hope they let us bring it into year 2 it's such a fun gun to use and is really effective just can't compete with the time to kills at the moment and getting two shot last word / thorn

Bungie stated that the slight damage increase to certain scout rifles wouldn't affect their time to kill.

9 RepliesWell let's do a little math 55 crit shots at 4 shots to kill A 5% increase to dmg would make the mida do around 60 damage (give or take a few tenths) But still it will be a 4 shot, so no. It won't be overpowered

I think year 2 Suros. It has the spinning up perk and if I'm correct that's like thunderdaddys main perk plus an auto rifle buff that's coming to it as well

Stranger's rifle out guns mida even with its low attack. As long as you give yourself a little distance.. god knows how good the 'no time to explain' will be..
