It went from 0.1% chance to 1.5% chance.
-
.1 to 1.5 is a 1500% increase....
-
No it's not put it in your calculator
-
1.5/.1=15 Increase of 1 fold = 100% Increase of 15 fold =1500% Checks out, percentages always get me too.
-
No 1.5/.1=15 1/.1=10 .1 is 10% of 1 So every .1 is 10% .1x15=1.5 Put the decimal two places to the left and you have a 150% increase.
-
That's not how percentages work. 1.5% is 15x more than 0.1%. It is 1.4% more than 0.1%: 1.4 / 0.1 = 1400% increase
-
My bad I was thinking if it was a one instead of .1. My math was right I was just thinking differently. I know my Martha though believe me.
-
Fair enough. 1.5 is 150% of 1 (although only a 50% increase).
-
Yes it is. 1 is 100% of .1 1.5 is 150% of .1 This is how percentages work. If your are an adult I surely hope you don't have to work with percentages.
Yes it is. 1 is 100% of .1 1.5 is 150% of .1 This is how percentages work. If your are an adult I surely hope you don't have to work with percentages.
1 is 100% of 1. Not of 0.1. I suspect you're trolling. Either that or you are incredibly bad at math. I have a major in Finance with a minor in mathematics, and deal with interest rates and such on a regular basis. Also, I hope you're* not any sort of teacher, as you seem to lack basic logic.
-
I promise I'm not bad at math. And I did make a mistake my bad I was thinking in terms of a 1 instead. By the way I'm 16 and I happen to think I'm pretty smart. That minor grammatical error was an autocorrect but you go along as you do.
-
I replied before I saw your post. Everybody makes the occasional mistake, no worries.
-
I have a question. Cus I've been trying to figure this out for a while. Do you know the average first time act score because I made a 26.
-
Oh, I'm from Canada. We don't have ACT tests here. But I just googled it, and 26 is approximately top 15%, so I guess that's pretty good.
-
Woohoo aiming for a 30 by the end of this school year
-
Nice! Keep up the good work!
