When optional matchmaking happens i'll purchase ttk...
Just like the title says...when optional matchmaking is in the new dlc i'll purchase. But until then this is the end of the road for me. Who else feels the same when it comes to this lack of matchmaking?

Signed. In fact i havent even bothered to read or do anything related to destiny in months. Yesterday i read an article with a truckload of features for TTK and i admit they are good changes but still as long as fireteam is required to experience the whole game and there is no matchmaking, its a no-buy for me. I will wait and see how it turns up. What I propose is they do something like WoW where you can reach max level and do all content in matchmaking . There are higher difficulty versions of the same content for premades only, that reward mostly same stuff with bigger numbers useful only for said higher lvl challenges which. What i bugged me most was not be able a shot at the big bad guys unless i had friends on or trudge thru a third party lfg site, nor being able to try to get elemental primary weapons.

2 RepliesI'm with you. Needs MM. If not, then SOME system for finding groups in game. All the naysayers ignore the fact that LFG is just random matchmaking with you doing all of the legwork. I always get put into groups with randoms of varying skill regardless of what they post on the website, and there's always at least one with no mic.

1 ReplyThere are so many LFG sites at your fingertips. Hell there's an app for it. Bungie is at fault for not having an in game method of doing endgame activities but dammit, it's been a year, it's time to help yourself. There are post that petition Bungie to add matchmaking. This post cannot be categorized as such, this is a method often used by children to get what they want. [i]Suggestion[/i]: Get off your ass and help people like Lost Sols enable matchmaking, make a halfway intelligent post and use one of the LFG sites. Don't act like its hard to go to a few addresses on your mobile device, type some information and get some invites. It's not rocket science, and if you can't do that then a raid is too complicated for you.

not even that but basic social features Halo: plug mic in and your team can hear ya (and choose to go into options to mute ya if they want) Destiny: plug in a mic and no one can here ya since no one opts into chat settings (n even that had to be patched in) therefore halo is the greater social game

11 RepliesI'm with you. I've used LFG sites and while doable, it's just a pain. I just want to pick up and play my game, not have to send a dozen invites trying to get a group together and then praying that group will actually be a good one. I don't see why Bungie insists on locking its best content behind a wall that clearly, most of its players don't want to scale (last I heard tons of players have not completed Raids, unless Bungie has different info, in which case I'd love to see it).

I'm with you. I just can't get over a game that requires groups but provides no way of finding one in game.

"Bungie, at least give us the option to jump in with a bunch of random players who want to accomplish the same task...its faster to start playing with others who are willing to play, than begging everyone who makes up our [fake] friends list (aka people we already don't know)." I waste so much time trying to find ppl to play poe and raid its ridiculous. Let us make REAL friends through matchmaking and sucessful raids. Think "HALO." Thank you all!

It would also be great if for example I had one two friends playing and we wanted a few more players for a raid. I have often jumped online and started strikes with a friend and had someone join in. I think its a win-win for all.

And that is why I not raid anymore... no PoE or ToO either. It was a pain that I have to wait an hour or two to find a group of six people and forget about ToO no one ever invite me cause flawless only and must have emblem. Yes, I do have flawless emblem but why do I have to put it on just to find a team. Oh, do I have to tell you how long I have been searching for a team to do PoE lv35? Fuqing forever. As the OP said, no OMM no TTK. Also even bungie add OMM but my old weapon will still become obsolete then it's a no.

4 RepliesMatchmaking (u say in replying to others on your post) is quicker?wtf to that ,matchmaking at lower levels have proven the point that it's not the answer . What happens when u get match made with a 8 year old ,no mic (essential for fast completion), and they don't work as a team, un upgraded weapons , poor skill against your own , and they randomly leave , these are the many TIME CONSUMING REASONS why optional matchmaking won't work . Use these very forums or find FRIENDS in game,at least u know them ,they got a mic ,good weapons , and u know your going to have fun playing with friends and having fun completing the task in a timely manner.anti social won't work . Maybe destiny isn't for u. I posted this for another guy on these forums -hope it helps

I remember when I first started playing strikes and I sucked but I got better and now I often take the lead. The same think would happen in raids, at first it might be a mess but as more people complete it there will be more people to help less experienced players and this will in turn build a stronger community.

For someone who gave up on the game for the matchmaking issue, I say you have been here for too long. Let it go and never come back. They haven't earned you populating their game.

Just remember we all have our own opinions and this is just mine on matchmaking. I'm by no means saying its my way or the highway. I still enjoy lfg and it works well enough... I'd just much prefer matchmaking because i feel people will still be fine at completing everything the game offers. Lfg is a great app for finding people but its by no means the way a socially functioning game should function. To be truly social this game needs matchmaking to make it enjoyable for all players... Not just some.

And if people complain no one will pick them up, what do you think they'll do if they get matched with you? Go to orbit. And what if you were the one getting matched in a level ~36+ raid with a level 33 with shit guns and a grimoire score of 2300?

I mean i dont have that big of a difficulty finding groups on the forums, but if i had the option to matchmake i would. And like the vast majority im going to have my best gear and a mic.
