Is my Hopscotch pilgrim roll closest to The Messenger?
Yes finally i got a hopscotch pilgrim and a hawkmoon by doing just ten dragon strikes! I rerolled my Hopscotch and i got red dot ORS, third eye, braced frame and headseeker. Its on my hunter now if you want to look :)
Edit: my real question is, is it as close as The messenger as possible

I just leveled one up all the way and its awesome, with spray and play, Hidden Hand, and either Casket Mag, AP rounds or lightweight. I'm impressed with it. I got a second one the other day - I want to try one with casket mag and counterbalance to see if cb offsets the stability nerf with the extra mag space.

7 RepliesThe Hopscotch is a better weapon overall than the messenger, from what I've been reading. U got HP so u are a lucky man :-) I've been running dragon strike after dragon strike (at least 50 so far) and have only seen one drop for a team mate. Don't let these others upset u man...you've got Hopscotch and they don't! Congrats BTW!!

If you rolled Smallbore and Red Dot Oas it would have been as identical as it can be. Would have had 3 more magazine rounds and barely noticeable lower stability and range.

1 ReplyI know it's not the same thing, but I got an allfate with battlerunner (I like battlerunner), braced frame, and headseeker. It's awesome. Shuts down exotic hand cannons no problem. If you are unlucky with hopscotch and want a BA pulse rifle, it's sold by the vanguard. [spoiler]still don't have hopscotch myself[/spoiler]

3 RepliesI run feeding frenzy and rangefinder and it will two burst at an outrageous distance. Headseeker isn't so useful with braced frame and it will still kill with one body and 5 headshots without it

Used it in trials yesterday and people commented on how quickly it put people down. The stability and Hidden Hand mean it's almost 100% headshots. I have 2 Adept Messengers too and honestly that are very similar. The extra stability that Braced Frame offers is noticeable though. To answer your question....your roll is basically identical to The Messenger except yours has higher stability, less range and The Messenger has the Red Dot OAS sight. My Hopscotch is on my Warlock btw. Take a look.

1 ReplyYes it is. I love the feel of the Messenger too so I rolled those exact perks. The maxed stability is a big step up from the Messenger, too. I run with it all the time dude, it's great.

This build is better. I don't care for Headseeker cause I have multiple Messengers and an ancient weapon called Three Little Words that are almost similar. Headseeker is worthless, since this weapon has perfect stability and if you are a skilled shot, it will never ever proc for you. Hopscotch IS THE BEST PULSE RIFLE IN THE GAME. Disagree, fight me!

1 ReplyI am one perk away from having that beat hopscotch pilgrim ( in my own opinion of coarse). I want to trad in hip fire for rodeo. It is so nasty right now. You want smallbore, sure sight, and headseaker.

Don't go for a messenger roll, go for something else so when u get a messenger u have 2 pulse rifles

With that stability you might find something like reactive reload more useful than headseeker. It's really up to you, it's a fine roll.
